Abstract

Advances in digital technology have led to innovations in learning and business opportunities in education (edupreneurship). In rural areas, limited facilities, access to technology, and economic conditions pose challenges to the development of tutoring. This study aims to describe the creativity of young teachers in developing technology-based tutoring as a form of edupreneurship in rural areas. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of a young teacher who manages tutoring. The results showed that teachers utilized simple technologies such as Canva, Pinterest, Kahoot, Spinwheel, and Google-based educational games to increase students’ interest and understanding of learning. A warm interpersonal approach also created a comfortable and motivating learning atmosphere. The main challenges include the limited number of tutors, students’ dependence on a single teacher, and the economic conditions of the community. The study concludes that creativity, the use of technology, and the interpersonal skills of teachers are key factors in the success of edupreneurship-based tutoring in rural areas.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berupaya menelaah peran pendidikan dalam konteks perubahan kehidupan sosial masyarakat dengan menggunakan sudut pandang sosiologi pendidikan. Pendidikan dipandang sebagai sistem sosial yang berinteraksi secara timbal balik dengan realitas masyarakat, di mana proses pendidikan tidak hanya menyesuaikan diri terhadap perubahan yang terjadi, tetapi juga turut membentuk arah perkembangan sosial. Arus globalisasi, kemajuan teknologi, serta pergeseran orientasi nilai dalam masyarakat menempatkan pendidikan sebagai sarana strategis dalam membangun kapasitas adaptif masyarakat sekaligus sebagai pengarah proses transformasi sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui analisis dokumen terhadap berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan berkontribusi penting dalam membentuk cara berpikir, sikap, dan pola perilaku sosial warga, meskipun dalam praktiknya dihadapkan pada beragam tantangan akibat kompleksitas perubahan sosial yang terus berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan perlu dikembangkan secara kontekstual, inklusif, dan berorientasi pada penguatan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan agar mampu memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi terwujudnya tatanan masyarakat yang maju dan berkeadaban.

Abstract

This study examines the policy of the Pekalongan City Education Office in enforcing teacher professional ethics in the digital era during the 2020–2026 period. The problem addressed is the increasing number of ethical violations by teachers in digital spaces, influenced by rapid technological development and uneven digital literacy. The objective of this research is to analyze policy implementation, identify challenges, and formulate recommendations to improve its effectiveness. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review, policy analysis, documentation, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The data are analyzed using content analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings indicate that the policy has a strong foundation, emphasizing professionalism, integrity, and responsible use of digital media, supported by training programs, supervision, and socialization. However, its implementation faces several challenges, including unequal understanding among teachers, inconsistent application across schools, limited digital literacy, and the rapid evolution of technology. Therefore, strengthening continuous training, providing clear technical guidelines, improving supervision systems, and enforcing consistent sanctions are necessary to enhance policy effectiveness. This study contributes to the development of adaptive and responsive educational policies in maintaining teacher professionalism in the digital era.
