Abstract

Abstract

In an effort to effectively control rat pest populations, farmers have begun considering the use of active ingredients such as Zinc Phosphide and Brodifacoum, which are known to be effective in reducing pest impact. Farmers were provided with understanding and practical training on the use of Zinc Phosphide and Brodifacoum as part of a more systematic and targeted pest control strategy. This study aims to explore farmers’ understanding and practices in applying Zinc Phosphide and Brodifacoum, as well as to identify the challenges they face in implementation. The research method employed is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which emphasizes the active involvement of farmers as key partners in every stage of the research. In addition, the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was used to explore the potential resources available within the community. The findings show that this research was conducted to identify farmers’ knowledge and practices related to the use of these two active ingredients. Furthermore, farmers also gained an understanding of the use of Brodifacoum as an active ingredient for controlling rat pests.

Abstract

The rising cases of juvenile delinquency in Indonesia, such as theft, assault, drug abuse, and youth brawls, highlight a growing concern for society, particularly in preserving moral values among the younger generation. As the majority of Indonesians are Muslims, instilling moral values is crucial, one of which is through Islamic Religious Education (PAI). PAI plays a central role in shaping the character, morality, and spirituality of students. The Akidah Akhlak (faith and morality) component in PAI, which addresses the foundation of faith and ethics in daily life, is vital to the success of Islamic education. Akidah Akhlak is taught progressively from Primary School to University levels, with characteristics and approaches adapted to the cognitive, psychological, and social development of students at each level. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Akidah Akhlak materials across various educational stages, ensuring their alignment with students' developmental needs and contributing to reducing juvenile delinquency. The results show that Akidah Akhlak is systematically designed, focusing on basic faith and good character habits in primary education, expanding on social and moral aspects in secondary education, applying Islamic ethics in society at the senior level, and offering more complex discussions at the university level. The material at each stage aims to produce individuals who are not only intellectually competent but also spiritually strong and morally sound.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic Psychology into the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum as a strategic framework for strengthening students’ character and psychological well-being. In the face of globalization, digitalization, and social pressure, many students experience emotional instability and moral decline, highlighting the need for a holistic educational approach. The objective of this paper is to analyze the theoretical foundation and practical implications of integrating Islamic Psychology within PAI to develop a balanced educational paradigm encompassing cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions. Using a descriptive qualitative method through library research, this study reviews books, journal articles, and other relevant literature discussing Islamic education and character formation. The findings reveal four key insights: (1) Islamic Psychology provides a philosophical foundation for PAI to cultivate insan kamil, individuals who are intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually balanced; (2) PAI learning based on Islamic Psychology enhances students’ mental health through internalizing spiritual values such as sabr, syukr, tawakkal, and ikhlas; (3) integrative curriculum models reinforce character formation by uniting cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects; and (4) integration of Islamic Psychology fosters a holistic educational paradigm that restores the unity of knowledge, morality, and spirituality. In conclusion, integrating Islamic Psychology into the PAI curriculum serves as a transformative step toward building an education system that nurtures well-rounded, morally grounded, and mentally healthy individuals capable of facing modern challenges with spiritual resilience.
