Abstract

Kawasan hulu DAS merupakan kawasan yang vital untuk keberlangsungn kehidupan manusia. Upaya untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hulu DAS sangat penting untuk dikelola dengan baik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran untuk memlihara lingkungan pada masyarakat yang hidup dan beraktivitas pada kawasan hulu DAS Cicatih-Cimandiri. Sasaran kegiatan pemberdayaan ini yaitu sekolah-sekolah tingkat pertama dan tingkat atas. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu terbentuknya sekolah-sekolah yang berbudaya lingkungan di sekitar kawasan hulu DAS Cicatih-Cimandiri yang diharapkan menjadi cikal bakal basis kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga lingkungan.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of MSME actors through Teaching Factory assistance with a focus on effective communication training and financial literacy in supporting sustainable food security. The partner in this activity is the Sukabumi Entrepreneur Association (SEA) located in Sukabumi City. Problems faced by partners include low business communication skills, limited understanding of financial literacy, and lack of optimal management of MSME business administration and reporting. The method of implementing activities consists of three stages, namely observation and socialization, discussion forums (Focus Group Discussion), and the implementation of mentoring. The observation stage is carried out through direct interviews with SEA administrators and members to identify the needs and problems of partners. Furthermore, discussion forums were held to formulate solutions and develop mentoring programs that suit the needs of MSMEs. The implementation stage is carried out through offline training and mentoring involving lecturers in the fields of communication, economics, accounting, and taxation. The material provided includes effective communication, business financial management, simple financial report recording, and understanding of MSME tax administration and reporting. The results of the activity showed that participants had an increased understanding of business communication and financial literacy that could be applied in their business development. Through this activity, it is hoped that MSMEs will be able to increase business professionalism, strengthen competitiveness, and support sustainable food security in Sukabumi City.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Arab-Malay philological studies and modern rhetorical theory in explaining the role of Malay-Islamic manuscripts as a medium for constructing the cultural identity of the Nusantara. Previous philological studies have primarily focused on textual criticism, transliteration, and manuscript reconstruction, while the rhetorical dimensions embedded in Arab-Malay manuscripts have received relatively limited scholarly attention. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research, combining philological analysis and rhetorical criticism. The primary sources consist of influential Arab-Malay manuscripts within the Malay-Islamic intellectual tradition, including Hikayat Amir Hamzah, Hikayat Nabi Bercukur, Syair Perahu, Taj al-Salatin, and Bustan al-Salatin. The analysis is conducted by identifying Aristotelian rhetorical elements—ethos, pathos, and logos—and interpreting cultural meanings through the perspectives of cultural hybridity and social habitus. The findings reveal that Arab-Malay manuscripts function not only as historical documents and literary heritage but also as rhetorical instruments that establish moral authority, reinforce Islamic values, and reproduce Malay-Islamic cultural identity. The interaction between Arab-Islamic traditions and local Malay culture has generated a distinctive form of cultural hybridity that enriches the character of Nusantara civilization. Furthermore, the rhetorical strategies embedded in these manuscripts contribute significantly to the formation of collective consciousness and social habitus within Malay society. This study proposes an interdisciplinary analytical framework that broadens the scope of philological inquiry and highlights the continuing relevance of Arab-Malay manuscripts in strengthening the cultural identity of the Nusantara amid contemporary globalization and cultural transformation.
