Abstract

This research explores future educational leadership models with a focus on communication and human relations based on religious, philosophical, psychological, and sociological approaches. Using descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews in several schools in Tangerang. The results showed that educational leaders who integrate spiritual values and ethical principles in their leadership practices are able to create a positive learning environment and support students' character development. Open and inclusive communication between leaders, staff and students contributes to improved motivation and performance. In addition, a deep understanding of psychological and sociological aspects assisted leaders in building healthy interpersonal relationships and creating fair policies. This study recommends the importance of continuous professional training for educational leaders to implement leadership models that are holistic and responsive to complex social dynamics. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective and relevant educational leadership practices in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Family Education Curriculum as a strategic effort to increase parental involvement as school partners in character education. This study used a naturalistic qualitative approach with a single case study design conducted at Aya Sophia Islamic School Business Junior High School, Tangerang. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews and documentation, with analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that curriculum planning was carried out contextually through the preparation of modules based on Islamic values and national character, program socialization, and cultural content adaptation. Program implementation is facilitated by a participatory organizational structure, face-to-face and online parent training, and community-based parenting mentoring. Formative and summative evaluations indicated a transformation of parenting from an authoritarian approach to a religious democratic model, characterized by the strengthening of affective closeness, moral exemplification, and the integration of Islamic spirituality in parenting. The findings reinforce the importance of value synergy between school and family and the need for adaptive replication of similar curricula in other contexts.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of integrative curriculum management at Aya Sophia Islamic School, which combines the National Education Curriculum and the Madrasah Diniyah Curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. The results showed that this curriculum integration creates a holistic learning environment, where students not only achieve good academic performance but also experience character and moral strengthening through in-depth religious teaching. Parents report high satisfaction with their children's academic and attitudinal progress, making Aya Sophia Islamic School an attractive option for parents seeking quality education. The theoretical, practical and managerial implications of this study point to the need for more support in the development of an integrative curriculum as well as continuous training for teachers. This article concludes that Aya Sophia Islamic School deserves to be a model for other educational institutions in Indonesia, with its ‘school-flavoured boarding school’ approach that is effective in shaping a smart and noble generation.
