Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to evaluate the implementation of learning progress during pandemic Covid-19 in subject Basic Design Mechanical Engineering at SMK Muhammadiyah, Prambanan, Sleman, based on: (1) Understanding the objectivities of online learning during pandemic Covid-19, (2) Availability of facilities, media, and online learning facilities, (3) Factors that affect the online learning process, (4) Effectiveness of online learning. This research involved a quantitative research with data collection technique using questionnaires or questionnaires based on the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product) for students of SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan with majoring in Mechanical Engineering consisting of 59 students. The results of the CIPP evaluation research show that the score obtained from the context aspect is 75 % categorized in the medium level, the input aspect is 79% categorized in the medium level, the process aspect is 72% categorized in the medium level, product aspect with 73% categorized in the medium level. From the score obtained for each aspect, the average overall aspects are 75%, which means that all aspects still need to be improved to get maximum result. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1)apakah ada materi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mata pelajaran perawatan mesin sepeda motor kelas XI. (2) mengetahui kelayakan produk media pembelajaran pemeliharaan mesin sepeda motor. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data analisis kuantitatif untuk mengetahui persentase kelayakan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) media pembelajaran berupa aplikasi untuk mata pelajaran perawatan mesin sepeda motor. (2) Pengembangan media pembelajaran dinyatakan baik untuk digunakan berdasarkan uji kelayakan ahli materi dengan skor 82,9%, ahli media dengan skor 95,5%, dan hasil uji coba siswa yang digunakan siswa untuk uji keefektifan media pembelajaran, dengan skor 95,1%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut media pembelajaran perawatan mesin sepeda motor berbasis android sangat layak untuk pembelajaran.

Abstract

The study of dynamic electrical physics among first-semester students is often unpopular because it is considered abstract and difficult to relate to real-world applications. To foster a positive attitude and interest in the subject matter, contextual and technology-based learning strategies are needed. This study aims to apply a simulation of a BLDC electric motor using the open-source software GNU Octave in the context of electric vehicles, as well as to describe students' affective responses after participating in the learning activity. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach with participants being students from the Physics Education and Vocational Mechanical Engineering Education programs. The simulation was developed based on the mathematical model of the BLDC electric motor and visualized using numerical methods in GNU Octave. After participating in the simulation-based learning activity, students were asked to complete a questionnaire measuring affective aspects such as interest, motivation, and attitude toward physics learning based on applications. The questionnaire results indicated that the majority of students responded positively to the use of simulations. The research results indicate that over 90% of students demonstrated interest, motivation, and positive attitudes toward simulation-based physics learning on electric motors. Students also evaluated GNU Octave as an attractive, free, and relevant tool for learning needs in the digital age. Thus, the application of GNU Octave as a simulation medium not only supports conceptual understanding indirectly but is also effective in fostering students' affective aspects toward physics and electric vehicle technology learning.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Learning PMKR Subjects Online for Class XI Students of SMK N 1 RandudongkalPemalang, Central Java, Academic Year 2022/2023. Thesis for Mechanical Engineering VocationalEducation Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tamansiswa BachelorwiyataUniversity, Yogyakarta. The aims of this study are: (1) to find out how online learning is implemented;(2) factors that affect the effectiveness of learning; and (3) the level of effectiveness of learning in thePMKR subject online for class XI students majoring in Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK N 1Randudongkal. This type of research is mixed research (mixed methods). The population in this studywere students majoring in Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK N 1 Randudongkal with a sample of 34students in class XI majoring in TKR. The technique used to collect data is incidental sampling technique.The validity test was carried out using the product moment technique and the reliability test was carriedout using the Alpha Cronbach method. From the observations it was found that the implementation ofonline learning through Google meet and WhatsApp in the PMKR subject for class XI students at SMK N1 Randudongkal did not run smoothly. Factors that cause the non-current include technical factors,learning implementation factors and external factors. From the students' responses, scores were obtainedfor each factor, namely technical factors with an average index score of 67.77% (less effective), externalfactors with a score of 70.28% (less effective), learning implementation factor with a score of 72.47% (less effective). From these results it is known that the level of effectiveness of online learning in PMKRsubjects is less effective in obtaining the highest score, namely 60% (less effective) of students whoexperience obstacles during the online learning process at SMK N 1 Randudongkal Pemalang.
