Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly advanced information technology, education faces challenges in maintaining students' moral quality and local culture. Globalization has negative impacts, such as addiction to online shows and games and losing traditional local wisdom values. The digital generation phenomenon also affects students' character with declining manners, moral decadence, and weak socio-cultural value education. Therefore, education needs to reconstruct educational learning processes by the basic principles of proper education. Teachers are essential in developing education through the cultural and technological advances that form in society. In addition, as parents, it is crucial to introduce good technology to students by understanding their needs, installing applications that support creativity, and limiting excessive consumption. Character education based on local wisdom is strategic in building student character. Teachers can choose curriculum components developed in learning modules. Character education based on local knowledge can help prevent students’ characters from falling into the adverse effects of globalization.

Abstract

SSI-based learning focuses on the complex problems that develop throughout society. SSI holds significant implications for society, requiring students, as the future generation, to actively participate in dialogue, discussion, debate, and argumentation. The purpose of this study is to analyse the development process of scientific argumentation skills in the production of bio-foam using sugarcane bagasse (Saccharum officinarum Linn). We have adopted a pre-experimental methodology, utilising a one-shot case study design. Students' observation sheets and SSI-based worksheets serve as research instruments, assessing their scientific analytical skills. The research findings reveal that students' implementation of SSI-based learning in the production of bio-foam from sugarcane bagasse demonstrates high competency and adherence to the learning stages. The average score of 87.6 fell into a very good category. The proficiency in completing the SSI-focused worksheets achieved an average score of 89.3; it was also classified as very good. The implementation of an SSI-focused study has led to the attainment of level 4 analytical skills in scientific argumentation for sugarcane bagasse production. This study reveals that students are capable of presenting argumentation skills with a single, clear counterargument. Therefore, implementing SSI-based learning in the production of sugarcane bagasse can enhance the development of scientific argumentation skills.

Abstract

In the age of information disruption, our national standards faced very significant challenges. The unregulated dissemination of information frequently undermines national identity and can damage unity; thus, fostering national defense perspectives should commence at an early stage. This research contends that the family, as the smallest social unit for individuals, plays an important and essential role in cultivating national security knowledge and values from an early age. This research utilizes an extensive literature review methodology with a qualitative approach to systematically examine diverse library resources, including scientific journals, books, and prior research findings, via Google Scholar, Scopus, and DOAJ, covering publications from 2011 to 2025. Through the selection procedure, 25 appropriate research articles were found and thematically examined to identify trends in the development of national defense views within families. The study results consistently indicate that daily home activities, including discipline, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and fostering mutual cooperation, substantially and successfully nurture the foundation of patriotism and national defense awareness in children. These constructive habits progressively cultivate a child's character into a responsible individual who values the environment and possesses a sense of national identity. Literacy studies enable youngsters to comprehend the notion of national security not merely as doctrine, but as a fundamental aspect of communal existence. In conclusion, fostering patriotism from an early age is most effective and lasting when initiated within the home context, complemented with appropriate reading enrichment aligned with the child's developmental stage. This research provides practical recommendations for development, including daily activity guidelines, inspirational narratives, and national literacy modules aimed at assisting parents in imparting the significance of national defense at home. Consequently, we can cultivate a young generation that is not only innovative but also inspired with a feeling of responsibility, patriotism, and readiness to contribute constructively to the advancement of the nation.
