Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketidaktuntasan pada aspek tertentu dalam penulisan cerita pendek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 11 Kendari yang berjumlah 112 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes menulis cerita pendek, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik kuantitatif deskriptif melalui perhitungan skor dan persentase ketuntasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa secara klasikal telah mencapai ketuntasan. Namun demikian, masih terdapat ketidaktuntasan pada aspek nilai-nilai dalam cerita pendek serta pada aspek kebahasaan, khususnya ejaan dan tanda baca. Ketidaktuntasan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan kemampuan reflektif dan imajinatif siswa, rendahnya penguasaan kosakata, serta pembelajaran menulis yang belum sepenuhnya berorientasi pada proses kreatif dan penyuntingan bahasa. Dengan demikian, meskipun siswa telah mampu menulis cerita pendek secara umum, peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran tetap diperlukan untuk memperbaiki aspek makna dan ketelitian berbahasa dalam cerpen siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Bungku Selatan in writing procedure texts. Using a quantitative descriptive method with a field research approach, this study involved 75 students as the total sample. The data were collected through a written test in which students were assigned to compose a procedure text based on the given theme. The assessment focused on four aspects: title, structural completeness, linguistic features, and writing conventions. The findings show that 60% of the students (45 learners) achieved the minimum mastery criterion of 66%, while 40% (30 learners) did not meet the standard. The classical mastery level also did not reach the expected threshold of 85%. The analysis of each aspect reveals that the title aspect achieved the highest mastery (100%), whereas the structural completeness (56%), linguistic features (72%), and writing conventions (62.67%) remain below the expected level. Overall, the results indicate that students’ ability to write procedure texts is still insufficient, particularly in applying structure, linguistic features, and proper writing mechanics. These findings suggest the need for improved instructional strategies and more intensive writing practice to enhance students’ proficiency in writing procedure texts.

Abstract

The problem of this research is what moral values ​​are contained in the novel Hijrah Terindah by Indahnursf and Jaymes R? The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the moral values ​​in the novel Hijrah Terindah by Indahnursf and Jaymes R. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, and the data used are texts, words and sentences related to moral values ​​sourced from the novel The Most Hijrah Terindah by Indahnursf and Jaymes R, published by Aksara Plus, Jakarta, 2020 with 206 pages. The data collection technique for this research is note-taking and critical reading techniques which are carried out by reading and recording quotations which relates to the moral values ​​contained in the novel Hijrah Terindah by Indahnursf and Jaymes R. The data analysis technique uses a moral approach. The results of the analysis show that man's relationship with God is in the form of; feelings of sin against God, praying or begging God, recognizing the greatness of God, religious feelings, and obedient worship. Moral values ​​in human relations with themselves are in the form of; self-existence, fear, self-esteem, and patience. Moral values ​​in human relations with humans in the social sphere are in the form of; think positively, help others, help the weak selflessly, and get to know each other. Moral values ​​in human relations with nature are in the form of; utilization of natural resources.
