Abstract

The integration of technology in 21st-century learning is essential, particularly in science education, where interactive tools can enhance students' understanding of complex concepts. Exe-learning, a platform that supports the creation of interactive educational content, offers features such as quizzes, practice questions, and simulations that aid in concept comprehension. This study employed a Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to create an interactive electronic module for the IPAS lesson on "Energy Transformation." A nonequivalent control group design was used to assess the e-module's effectiveness. Data were collected using pretest-posttest assessments to evaluate module feasibility and effectiveness, complemented by interviews and observations. Data analysis included N-Gain and Cohen's tests to measure improvement in conceptual understanding. The validation of the e-module showed high feasibility scores: 66% for content, 94% for language, and 86% for media. The N-Gain analysis indicated significant improvement in students' understanding, confirming the module's effectiveness as a learning tool. The findings suggest that the scientifically structured, reading-based e-module promotes critical thinking and actively engages students, leading to improved comprehension of IPAS concepts. The exe-learning-based electronic module demonstrates potential as an effective educational medium, enhancing students' engagement and understanding in the study of energy transformation in elementary science.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang pesat memunculkan berbagai inovasi teknologi dalam pendidikan, salah satunya yaitu pengembangan modul elektronik sebagai salah satu bentuk media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan awal pengembangan modul elektronik interaktif berbasis scientific reading based project. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kurikulum yang digunakan adalah kurikulum merdeka, (2) bahan ajar yang digunakan hanya memanfaatkan buku dari pemerintah sebagai sumber bacaan, serta (3) belum dilakukannya kegiatan scientific reading sebelum implementasi proyek pembelajaran. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa belajar secara mandiri dengan mengintegrasikan keterampilan abad ke-21 yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

Speaking skills are basic competencies that must be mastered by elementary school students, but various studies show that learners' speaking skills are still relatively low. This study aims to identify the factors that cause low speaking skills in elementary school students and formulate effective solutions in learning Indonesian. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review with thematic analysis of eight selected articles from 2019–2024 obtained from various reputable databases. The results of the study show that low speaking skills are influenced by a lack of self-confidence, monotonous learning methods, minimal use of learning media, lack of support from the social and family environment, and limited opportunities to practice speaking. Effective solutions include building self-confidence and a safe learning environment, using active and varied learning methods, utilizing interesting media, providing regular speaking exercises, and building cooperation between schools and parents. These strategies have been proven to significantly increase students' participation, courage, and verbal abilities.Keterampilan berbicara merupakan kompetensi fundamental yang harus dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar, tetapi berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berbicara siswa masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar dan merumuskan solusi efektif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan dengan analisis tematik terhadap delapan artikel terpilih tahun 2019–2024 yang diperoleh dari berbagai database bereputasi Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya keterampilan berbicara dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya kepercayaan diri, metode pembelajaran yang monoton, minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, kurangnya dukungan lingkungan sosial dan keluarga, serta terbatasnya kesempatan berlatih berbicara. Solusi efektif meliputi membangun kepercayaan diri dan lingkungan belajar yang aman, menggunakan metode pembelajaran aktif dan variatif, memanfaatkan media yang menarik, memberikan latihan berbicara secara rutin, serta membangun kerja sama sekolah dan orang tua. Strategi-strategi tersebut terbukti mampu meningkatkan partisipasi, keberanian, dan kemampuan verbal siswa secara signifikan.
