Abstract

Vocabulary learning (mufrodat) is a fundamental component in mastering the Arabic language; however, instructional practices at the elementary school level often rely on conventional methods such as memorization and repetitive drills without engaging contextualization. These conditions result in low interest and motivation among learners, as observed in Grade VI Salafiyah Ula Ma’had Za’adul Ma’ad Palembang. Limited variation in instructional media and strategies contributes to low learning engagement and suboptimal learning outcomes. As an effort to introduce instructional innovation, this study implements Wordwall media based on Game Based Learning as an innovative alternative in teaching mufrodat. This innovation offers an interactive learning experience through various educational games that enable students to learn actively, enjoyably, and in a structured manner. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Wordwall media integrated with Game Based Learning on students’ motivation and mufrodat learning outcomes. Through the application of this innovative media, students demonstrated increased interest, active participation, and better vocabulary comprehension compared to previous methods. The findings affirm that the innovative use of interactive digital, game-based media can serve as an effective solution to enhance the quality of Arabic language instruction in elementary schools, particularly in vocabulary learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional media for maharah kalam using the Plotagon application based on the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning (CTML) and to analyze its effectiveness in improving elementary school students’ Arabic speaking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) with a mixed-methods approach. The sample consisted of 24 Grade IV C students at SD Muhammadiyah 18 Palembang. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The results of expert validation showed that the developed media achieved a validity score of 88–90% from material experts and 87–91% from media experts, categorized as very valid. The effectiveness test indicated an improvement in students’ speaking skills, with the average pretest score of 62.5 increasing to 81.3 in the posttest. The N-Gain value reached 59.63%, which falls into the moderate (quite effective) category. Furthermore, the use of Plotagon-based media positively influenced students’ learning activities and motivation, as approximately 85% of students became more active and 80% showed increased confidence in practicing Arabic dialogues. In conclusion, the CTML-based Plotagon instructional media is feasible and effective in improving students’ Arabic speaking skills and creating a more engaging and communicative learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to develop qirā’ah material using Blooket media based on a humanistic approach for eighth-grade students of Ar-Risalah Junior High School, Lubuk Linggau, and to test its effectiveness in Arabic language learning. The background of this study is based on students' low understanding of Arabic reading texts due to the use of less interactive learning materials and media and a learning approach that is still teacher-oriented. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes stages, design analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product developed is qirā’ah material in the form of an educational game on the Blooket platform designed based on humanistic learning principles. The research subjects were eighth-grade students of Ar-Risalah Junior High School, Lubuk Linggau. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the qirā’ah material based on Blooket media was declared valid and suitable for use based on the assessment of material experts and media experts. In addition, the use of humanistic-based Blooket media was proven effective in improving students' reading comprehension, learning motivation, and active participation in Arabic language learning. Thus, the development of qirā’ah material using humanistic-based Blooket media can be an innovative alternative in Arabic language learning at the junior high school level

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) integrated with Qur’anic verses and Hadith for the topic of plant transport systems in Grade XI Biology. The development process employed the ADDIE model, covering the Analyze, Design, and Develop stages, which included needs analysis, instructional design, and the preparation of the initial product. The LKPD was validated by four experts content, media, language, and Islamic studies experts. All validation aspects were classified as highly valid after revisions were made based on expert feedback. In addition, a practicality test administered to students produced scores ranging from 81.33% to 98.66%, indicating a very practical category. These findings suggest that the developed LKPD is feasible for use, easy to understand, and capable of guiding students to learn more effectively. The integration of Islamic values is also considered to enrich students understanding of biological concepts through strengthened spiritual meaning. This study recommends the use of the LKPD as a supporting learning resource and encourages further development in the implementation and evaluation stages for future research.
