Abstract

This study aims to determine the metaphor’s development and scientists opinion about its existence in Arabic and Al Quran. Studying metaphor in rhetoric discourse is important because it is related to Al Quran's stylistic and metaphor is a part of it. It is undeniable that metaphor evolved from the beginning of its emergence. Furthermore, experts argued on the existence of metaphor. The type of this research was literature review. The data in this research were obtained from relevant references. The results indicate that metaphor is part of language use. The first person to use metaphor was Abu Ubaidah Muammar Al Mutsanna. This term was developed by Al Jurjani who classified metaphor into majaz lughawi and majaz aqliy.  Experts also argued on the existence of metaphor in Al Qur’an and Arabic. According to some of them, metaphor is not entirely included in the Qur’an.. Others claim that metaphor appears in the Qur'an and Arabic. Because the existence of metaphor is particularly significant in the meaning of language, the researcher choose the majority opinion that metaphor can be found in the Qur'an and Arabic.

Abstract

Planning and carrying out investigations (PCOI) among students are still low, and teachers pay less attention to differences in the abilities of each student, so they have not achieved optimal results. This research aims to develop of a chemistry e-module using the trait treatment interaction (TTI) model to increase valid, practical, and effective's PCOI capabilities. TTI is considered an ideal learning model because it can accommodate and value individual differences among students. The research framework employed in this study follows a research and development method with a define, design, development, and disseminate (4D) model. The results indicate that the high validity level achieved an average score of 84.3% in terms of materials, language, and media aspects. The practicality test of the products also received an average score of 86.2%. The product's effectiveness is categorized as very effective, with students' test results averaging 82.3%. The e-module is deemed valid, practical, and effective in enhancing PCOI capabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to know the types, patterns, cases and grammatical markers, and syntactic functions of mamnu’ min al sharf in the book al Mawa’idz al ‘Ushfuriyyah. This research employs a descriptive method with a library research design. The data were taken from the book al Mawa’idz al ‘Ushfuriyyah using reading and writing technique, with the researchers serving as the main research instrument. The results of this study show: based on types and patterns, there are eight types of mamnu’ min al sharf with varied patterns. Based on syntactic functions, there are data having syntactic functions such as topic, comment, agent, pro-agent, comment of indeed, noun of to be, object, comment of to be, noun of indeed, vocative noun, genitive case noun, genitive complement, conjunct, and attributive adjective. This study examines mamnu’ min al-sharf in Al-Mawa‘idz al-‘Ushfuriyyah to identify its types, patterns, cases and grammatical markers, and syntactic functions.
