Abstract

This article aims to explain four models of the relationship between religion and science as proposed by Ian G. Barbour: conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. This research approach uses a literature study method by compiling various sources of literature such as books, journals, and relevant research findings as references. The study results show that the relationship between religion and science is not always contradictory; the conflict model illustrates sharp differences between the two, the independence model emphasizes the separation of domains, the dialogue model opens space for communication and cooperation, while the integration model combines both into a harmonious unity. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the ideal relationship between religion and science is dialogical and integrative. Their collaboration will produce knowledge that is not only intellectually advanced but also grounded in moral and spiritual values, thereby shaping human civilization.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the implementation mechanism and documentation requirements for school or madrasah accreditation in Indonesia based on the latest regulations. Accreditation is positioned as a vital instrument in guaranteeing educational quality and a form of public accountability to measure the eligibility of educational units according to the National Education Standards (SNP). The research method used is library research by examining various literatures, regulations such as Law No. 20 of 2003 and Permendikbudristek No. 38 of 2023, as well as technical operational documents from the National Accreditation Board for Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education (BAN-PDM). The results show that the accreditation process has transformed from administrative assessment (compliance) to performance-based assessment through the use of the IASP instrument. The accreditation implementation cycle consists of systematic stages including: (1) identification and targeting, (2) socialization, (3) pre-visitation, (4) visitation and assessment, (5) validation of results, (6) determination of results, and (7) socialization of accreditation results. Furthermore, the effectiveness of accreditation highly depends on the readiness of supporting documents in four main components: graduate quality, learning process, teacher quality, and school management. The conclusion of this study confirms that a deep understanding of procedures and document completeness is not merely a bureaucratic burden, but a means of self-evaluation for educational institutions to carry out continuous quality improvement for the advancement of the education ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses conflict management and decision-making from the perspective of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Conflict is a common phenomenon in organizations, including Islamic educational institutions, which can reduce productivity and harmony if not managed properly. Therefore, an approach is needed that is not only managerial in nature but also based on Islamic values. This study aims to identify the concepts of conflict management and decision-making based on the hadiths of the Prophet and their implementation in organizational life and Islamic educational institutions. The research method used in this study is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from the Qur’an, hadiths, books, journals, and various scientific references related to conflict management and decision-making in Islam. The data were analyzed descriptively to understand the values contained in the hadiths related to conflict resolution and fair and wise leadership. The results of the study show that Islam offers several strategies for conflict resolution, such as negotiation, tabayyun (clarification), deliberation (musyawarah), tahkim (mediation), and ishlah (reconciliation). The hadiths of the Prophet also emphasize the importance of good communication, peace, and listening to all parties before making decisions. In addition, decision-making in the perspective of hadith must be based on the principles of justice and wisdom so that the decisions made do not lead to injustice or create new conflicts. In conclusion, conflict management and decision-making based on hadith have strong relevance in building harmonious, fair, and humane organizations. Islamic values such as honesty, deliberation, justice, and peace can serve as guidelines for leaders in creating a better organizational environment oriented toward collective welfare.
