Abstract

This study aims to identify the application of positive psychology in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools and analyze its impact on students' spiritual well-being. Positive psychology, which focuses on developing happiness, gratitude, optimism, and empathy, is integrated into PAI materials to improve students' character and spiritual well-being. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was used to explore the experiences of students, teachers, and principals in implementing positive psychology in PAI learning. The results show that the application of positive psychology can increase students' self-confidence, learning motivation, and inner peace. Students involved in positive psychology-based learning demonstrate a more positive attitude, are able to manage their emotions, and have a greater sense of gratitude for their lives. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as differences in student backgrounds and limited learning time, a flexible and collaborative approach between teachers and parents can help overcome these obstacles. This research contributes to the development of an PAI curriculum that is more relevant and responsive to students' spiritual needs in the modern era

Abstract

This study examines the role of gerakan jamaah and dakwah jamaah implemented by Muhammadiyah as a medium for recontextualizing tarjih thought in strengthening local religious life. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, the research draws on data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving Muhammadiyah activists, preachers, and community members. The findings reveal that community-based da‘wah enables the contextual internalization of normative Islamic values through participatory and dialogical engagement, fostering both individual piety and social religiosity. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that the integration of tarjih methodology with dakwah jamaah facilitates a dynamic interaction between religious normativity and local socio-cultural realities without altering the substantive principles of Islamic teachings. Despite facing challenges such as diverse religious traditions and limited human resources, dakwah jamaah proves effective in promoting moderate, inclusive, and progressive religiosity. This research contributes to the discourse on Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah studies by highlighting the strategic significance of community-based da‘wah in addressing contemporary religious challenges at the local level.

Abstract

Keluarga saat ini menghadapi krisis fungsi edukatif akibat dominasi modernitas dan teknologi, yang berimplikasi pada munculnya krisis moral dan degradasi karakter di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah secara filosofis peran tak tergantikan keluarga sebagai institusi pendidikan pertama dalam perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan Islam (FPI), serta implikasinya terhadap pembentukan manusia yang bermoral, rasional, dan berkarakter. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan kualitatif dengan analisis isi terhadap sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder FPI, melibatkan pandangan dari filsuf klasik seperti Al-Farabi, Ibnu Sina, dan Al-Ghazali, hingga tokoh kontemporer seperti Al-Attas dan Fazlur Rahman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran keluarga dalam FPI bersifat aksio-ontologis. Secara ontologis, keluarga adalah lokus fundamental tempat fitrah anak dijaga dan diarahkan, menjadikan pendidikan sebagai bagian integral dari tatanan tauhid. Secara aksiologis, keluarga adalah arena utama penanaman akhlak karimah melalui ta’dib dan keteladanan (uswah), yang bertujuan membentuk insan kamil dan mencapai sa‘adah (kebahagiaan hakiki). Kesimpulan singkatnya, penguatan peran keluarga merupakan solusi teologis dan pedagogis untuk melawan arus sekularisasi nilai, memastikan Pendidikan Karakter memiliki fondasi spiritual yang kokoh, dan menjamin keberlanjutan peradaban yang beradab.
