Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe work environment, especially in high-risk sectors like healthcare, where workplace accidents and disease exposure are common. This study aims to assess the implementation of OSH at Hospital X in Bandung City by analyzing its occupational safety management system according to Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012, with a focus on Indicator 6, which pertains to Work Safety Standards under the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). The research method used a qualitative approach supported by quantitative data, with data collection through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The respondents included OSH management staff and hospital visitors. The study’s findings indicate that the overall implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at Hospital X is categorized as good. This suggests that the hospital's risk control procedures are generally effective in minimizing potential workplace hazards. The hospital management’s perception of the OHS Management System (SMK3) implementation was positive, reflecting their commitment to ensuring a safe work environment. However, the assessment from visitors regarding the OSH implementation fell into the fairly good category, indicating room for improvement in certain areas, especially in terms of visitor awareness and involvement in the hospital’s safety measures. The results highlight the importance of continuous evaluation and improvement in implementing OHS standards, particularly in high-risk settings such as hospitals. Strengthening visitor education and engagement in OHS practices could further enhance the overall safety culture at the hospital. This study contributes valuable insights for improving OSH management systems and risk control strategies, ultimately aiming for a safer and healthier work environment for both hospital staff and visitors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of financial risk management and its impact on the efficiency of operational costs at Paramedika Bekasi Hospital. The research employs the SNI ISO 31000:2018 framework as the analytical foundation. The method applied is a descriptive qualitative case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants, documentation studies of financial reports, and field observations. The findings reveal that the implementation of financial risk management in the hospital does not meet the principles of SNI ISO 31000:2018. The process is reactive and fragmented, characterized by top-down communication, the absence of formal risk context establishment, undocumented risk assessment, treatment strategies reliant on internal borrowing, and ineffective monitoring mechanisms. This condition leads to the organization's inability to anticipate and mitigate various financial risks, which ultimately directly impacts the low efficiency of operational costs. The novelty of this research lies in its holistic approach, which integrates an international standard framework with an in-depth analysis of the unique context of private hospitals in Indonesia, particularly in an acute financial crisis situation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment through effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable in healthcare workers at Harapan Sehat Hospital, Slawi. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 92 respondents taken using proportional sampling technique with the Slovin formula from a total population of 120 healthcare workers. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS to test the relationship between variables and the mediating effect. The results showed that employee engagement and work compliance have a positive and significant effect on effort reward imbalance, and each of these variables also has a direct effect on organizational commitment. In addition, effort reward imbalance was proven to be able to significantly mediate the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment. The conclusion is that increasing employee engagement and work compliance can strengthen the organizational commitment of healthcare workers, both directly and through the mechanism of effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable.   Keywords: Employee Engagement, Work Compliance, Effort Reward Imbalance

Abstract

Background: The advancement of information technology requires hospitals to manage information systems efficiently. However, RSIGM Sultan Agung Semarang still encounters difficulties in optimizing its Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) to support daily operations and strategic decisions. This study aims to examine the influence of human, organizational, and technological factors on the net benefits of HMIS, both individually and collectivelyMethod: A mixed-methods design with convergent triangulation was employed, integrating qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative insights were obtained through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, while quantitative data were gathered via a structured, validated questionnaire distributed using total and stratified random sampling.Result: The results showed that organizational and technological factors had a significant positive effect on the perceived net benefit of HMIS, with organizational support identified as the most influential. In contrast, the human factor demonstrated a significant negative impact, suggesting user-related barriers to system use. Collectively, the three factors explained a considerable portion of the variance in net benefit. Conclusion: The study concluded that strengthening organizational systems and advancing technological components were essential for enhancing HMIS performance. Addressing human factors through targeted training and simplifying system interfaces was also necessary to improve user experience and satisfaction
