Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including the field of Islamic guidance and counseling. Advances in information technology have opened new opportunities for Muslim counselors to expand their service reach and enhance the effectiveness of guidance through digital media. However, these developments also present several challenges, such as ethical issues, source authenticity, and the degradation of personal relationships between counselors and clients. This study aims to analyze the forms of transformation in Islamic guidance and counseling in the digital era, as well as to identify the opportunities and challenges faced by Muslim counselors. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicate that digital transformation has shifted the paradigm of Islamic guidance from traditional face-to-face methods to a more flexible and interactive technology-based approach. Nevertheless, Muslim counselors are still required to uphold spiritual values, ethical principles, and the authenticity of Islamic teachings throughout the guidance process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Islamic spiritual guidance for online gambling victims through spiritual and psychological approaches in Makassar City. The phenomenon of online gambling has evolved into a multidimensional social problem, simultaneously damaging the spiritual, psychological, familial, and social dimensions of victims' lives. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, involving online gambling addiction victims, Islamic spiritual counselors, and victims' family members as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that the Islamic spiritual approach encompassing the methods of tawbah, muhasabah, tazkiyatun nafs, dhikr, tadabbur of the Qur'an, and the restoration of congregational prayer proved effective in restoring the qalb and ruh dimensions of victims. The psychological approach through behavioral counseling, cognitive restructuring, intrinsic motivation enhancement, Islamic mindfulness, and family counselling complemented the recovery process at the cognitive, emotional, and relational dimensions. The integration of both approaches yielded more comprehensive and sustainable recovery outcomes compared to either approach applied in isolation. The success of the recovery process was influenced by the victims' intrinsic motivation, active family support, a supportive religious environment, and the integrative competence of the counselors.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Penyuluh Agama, Pernikahan Dini, Dakwah       Abstract Child marriage remains a serious social problem in Indonesia, including in Bontosikuyu District, Kepulauan Selayar Regency, South Sulawesi. This phenomenon carries not only legal and health implications but also profound psychological impacts, particularly on young women. The role of religious counselors (penyuluh agama) thus becomes pivotal as the frontline force in prevention efforts. This study aims to analyze in depth the forms of roles played by religious counselors, the dakwah strategies they employ, and the relationship between child marriage and its psychological consequences in Bontosikuyu District. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used, involving religious counselors, community leaders, KUA officials, and affected residents as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document review, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model. The findings reveal that religious counselors perform dual roles as educators, facilitators, and mediators by applying dakwah strategies of bil-lisan, bil-hal, and bil-kitabah. Community-based approaches through religious study groups, pre-marital guidance, and cross-sector collaboration have proven effective in raising public awareness of the risks of child marriage. This research affirms the importance of strengthening the capacity of religious counselors and integrating psychological approaches into child marriage prevention programs.
