Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the General Allocation Fund (DAU), Special Allocation Fund (DAK), and Regional Original Income (PAD) on economic growth. The data used are secondary data sourced from competent government institutions. The data are then analyzed using statistical tools in the form of multiple linear regression. The research results show that DAK and PAD have a negative, though insignificant, effect on economic growth, while DAU has a positive and significant effect. This could indicate that the economy of South Buru Regency still has a significant fiscal dependence on the central government.

Abstract

The realization of Rural-Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) revenue in South Buru Regency is often not commensurate with the existing potential. This condition indicates obstacles in optimizing regional revenue sourced from the tax sector. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of PBB-P2 revenue in South Buru Regency. The factors studied include taxpayer compliance, the tax collection system, and the quality of tax apparatus services. The study used a quantitative approach with a regression analysis method to examine the influence of these variables on the effectiveness of PBB-P2 revenue. The results show that the level of tax revenue effectiveness from 2020 to 2024 is classified as ineffective only in 2022, because in that year the effectiveness value is in the less effective category. The results of the partial multiple linear regression test indicate that the variables of taxpayer compliance, the tax collection system, and service quality have no significant effect on the effectiveness of tax revenue in South Buru Regency. However, all three variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the effectiveness of tax revenue in the region. Thus, the South Buru Regency Government needs to improve taxpayer compliance, the collection system, and the quality of services so that the effectiveness of tax revenue is more optimal.

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) are one of the business sektors that have an important role in the regional economy. However, in its development, SMEs have various potentials, weaknesses, opportunities and even threats so that they cannot develop optimally like other business sektors. This research aims to provide an analysis of its development strategy. The method used is the SWOT method and Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the aim of identifying various potentials, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as priority development strategies in the future. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the strategy that needs to be used is a growth strategy by optimizing strengths to take advantage of emerging opportunities. Meanwhile, the results of the AHP analysis show that the priority policies in the growth strategy are policies in developing human resources (HR).

Abstract

The study aims to assess how assistance from the capture fisheries management program has influenced the welfare of fishermen in Masohi City and Amahai sub- districts, Central Maluku Regency. Findings reveal that 20% of fishermen earned less than Rp.1 million monthly before receiving assistance, while 80% earned between Rp.1 million to Rp.5 million. Post-assistance, there was a noticeable increase in production and income, attributed to improved fishing gear, skills, and work hours. Consequently, incomes rose, with 10% earning Rp.1 million to Rp.5 million, 40% earning Rp.5 million to Rp.10 million, and 50% earning over Rp.10 million monthly. Thus, the capture fisheries management program significantly enhances fishermen's welfare.
