Abstract

Comic-style Student Worksheets (LKS) are worksheets that contain information and instructions from the teacher to students to work on a particular experiment presented by displaying comics while illustrated student worksheets are student worksheets that provide information and instructions from the teacher to students to work on one specific experiment presented with pictures. The use of LKS in this study is supported by applying the CLIS learning model that is a learning model that seeks to develop students' ideas or ideas based on the results of observations or experiments using LKS. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there were significant differences in science process skills between students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS learning model with students taught using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model and to find out whether students' science process skills were taught using comic LKS on the CLIS learning model is higher than the students taught using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model. The sample of this study was students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class, with the research design Randomized Control Group Only Design and the research instruments used were text LKS, comic-style LKS, illustrated worksheets and observation sheets of students' science process skills. From the results of data analysis using the t-test, obtained: 1) there are significant differences in science process skills between students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS model with students taught using illustrated LKS on CLIS; 2) science process skills students taught using comic-style LKS on the CLIS learning model are higher than students explained using illustrated worksheets in the CLIS learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the cultural significance of parallel elements in Takanab customary speech. Takanab customary speech, in fact, is one manifestation of ritual communication in the Dawan community in Timor, East Nusa Tenggara. This type of traditional speech is unique because in it elements of language are presented in pairs (parallel), both between one word with another word in one line or between one line with another line in one stanza. Data collection is done by using the method of listening (linguistics) and ethnographic conversation (communication ethnography). Both methods are applied through record and note techniques. The data analysis method of this research is the extralingual equivalent method. Data analysis technique used is contextual analysis technique. Based on the data analysis, the results show that the cultural meaning in parallel lines in the Takanab traditional speech is the performance of ritual communication in the Dawan community environment which contains mutual cultural significance, socio-historical cultural meaning, cultural significance of religious life appreciation, and cultural meaning of reconciliation. The most parallel cultural meaning with the Takanab customary speech is the meaning of mutual cooperation and the cultural meaning of living religious life (religiosity).

Abstract

Community Service Activities by the PkM Team on behalf of the Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng institution along with alumni illustrate concern and a sense of humanity towards others. The Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng Institute was present among the victims of natural disasters in Lembata Regency to ease the burden of their suffering. The presence of the PkM team in social and humanitarian activities, namely distributing and delivering aid directly to victims of natural disasters is a picture of humans as social beings. With the strength of coordination and action, the PkM team demonstrated the presence of the academic community of Unika Santu Paulus Ruteng as a missionary institution that provided relief and consolation for the victims.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan model-modelpernyataan posisi yang digunakan dalam paragraf argumentasi pada artikel jurnal mahasiswa.Melalui penelitian ini,peneliti juga mengkaji model pernyataan posisiyang paling dominan digunakan dalam paragraf argumentasi pada artikel jurnal mahasiswa.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data disediakan dengan menggunakan metode simak. Berdasarkan metode tersebut peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan teknik catat sebagai teknik dasar. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini, yakni artikel jurnal mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Program Magister, Universitas Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pernyataan posisi yang digunakan dalam paragraf argumentasi pada artikel jurnal mahasiswa terdiri dari pernyataan posisi fakta, pernyataan posisi nilai, dan pernyataan posisi kebijakan. Ketiga model pernyataan posisi tersebut digunakan dengan intensitas yang berbeda. Pernyataan posisi fakta merupakan model yang paling dominan digunakan, sedangkan pernyataan posisi kebijakan paling sedikit digunakan.Pernyataan posisi fakta banyak digunakan karena pernyataan posisi yang diungkapkan berfokus pada fenomena empiris yang dapat diverifikasimelalui pengamatan langsung, eksperimen, atau penelitian pendukung lainnya.Pernyataan posisi nilai digunakan untuk pernyataan posisi yang memuat tentang hal yang diukur secara subjektif. Pernyataan posisi kebijakan merupakan pernyataan yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkanpernyataan posisi yang bersifat prosedural atau rencana terorganisir.
