Abstract

Pesantren as an Islamic educational institution faces serious challenges in addressing acts of violence, especially bullying committed by children against other children. This Community Service Program aims to provide legal advocacy and education to students and pesantren management regarding legal protection for both perpetrators and victims of bullying. Through outreach and training involving professionals from various fields, this PKM provides understanding to the target partners, namely the administrators and leaders of pesantren in Kediri Regency and City, about preventive and repressive legal mechanisms for criminal acts of bullying and abuse, as well as efforts to create a child-friendly and conducive educational environment. The program also promotes a legal awareness culture based on pesantren values, supporting the creation of a safe, comfortable, and harmonious learning atmosphere. With a participatory approach, this PKM is expected to reduce violence and foster legal awareness within the pesantren community, to create a legally conscious pesantren environment focused on sustainable character development of the students

Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings reveal that the head of the madrasah implemented personal, social, persuasive, and collaborative communication strategies. These included open communication via social media and regular meetings, persuasive delivery of policies and vision, and collaborative efforts with teachers, parents, and the local community. The impact of these strategies was evident in the improved institutional image, increased student enrollment, and greater stakeholder participation in educational programs. Abstract

The growing interest of parents in enrolling their children at MIN 2 Kota Kediri reflects a significant shift in educational orientation, emphasizing not only academic achievement but also the integration of spiritual and moral values. This study was conducted to examine the determinants of parental decision-making through a mixed methods sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were obtained from questionnaires administered to 135 parents and analyzed using multiple linear regression, while qualitative data were gathered through in-depth interviews and thematically analyzed. The results indicate that all factors economic and access, religiosity, environment and facilities, social and cultural aspects, and teacher quality are significantly associated with parental decisions. Among them, religiosity (β = 0.443) and teacher quality (β = 0.262) were identified as the most influential. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.666) demonstrates the robustness of the model. Parents ultimately expect their children to develop into pious individuals with noble character, prepared to face contemporary challenges in accordance with Islamic values.
