Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning, as it helps teachers deliver materials in a clearer, more engaging, and more meaningful way. Islamic Religious Education does not only focus on cognitive achievement but also emphasizes the development of attitudes and the application of Islamic values in students’ daily lives. Therefore, creative learning media is needed to avoid monotonous learning processes and to increase students’ involvement. This study aims to examine the role and development of creative learning media in Islamic Religious Education and its contribution to improving students’ learning outcomes. The study employed a qualitative approach using library research by reviewing relevant books and scientific journal articles published within the last five years. Data were analyzed through content analysis by organizing and interpreting findings based on key themes related to creative learning media, Islamic Religious Education, and learning outcomes. The results indicate that creative learning media can enhance students’ learning motivation and interest, encourage active participation, and support a deeper understanding of Islamic education materials. In addition, learning media that are designed in accordance with instructional objectives and students’ characteristics have a positive impact on learning outcomes, including knowledge, attitudes, and religious skills. Thus, the development of creative learning media is considered a strategic effort to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has influenced various aspects of life, including students’ attitudes toward diversity. Social media is not only a means of communication and information but also a space for interaction that can shape students’ perspectives on differences in ethnicity, religion, culture, and social views. This study aims to examine the influence of social media on students’ attitudes toward diversity. The research methodology employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical methods to determine the relationship and influence between the intensity of social media use and students’ attitudes toward diversity. The results indicate that social media has a significant influence on students’ attitudes toward diversity. Students who use social media positively and critically tend to demonstrate tolerance, mutual respect, and openness toward differences. Conversely, the use of social media without adequate guidance and digital literacy may lead to intolerant attitudes and negative prejudices. Therefore, the role of teachers and parents is essential in guiding students to use social media wisely in order to strengthen attitudes of diversity within the educational environment.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of varying levels of students’ moral conduct in school settings, despite the strong emphasis on character and religious development at SMPIT Tahfidz Nurul Islam Batam. The study aims to examine the forms of teacher parent collaboration and to assess its role in fostering students’ moral character (akhlak). A mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed: the first phase used questionnaires to measure the level of teacher parent collaboration and students’ moral character, followed by interviews and document review in the second phase to elaborate the quantitative results. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential techniques (relationship/effect testing), while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that teacher parent collaboration plays a positive role in strengthening students’ moral character. The most supportive practices include regular communication (offline and online), monitoring worship routines and daily habits, consistent discipline agreements between home and school, and parenting programs. Key challenges involve parents’ limited time and inconsistent follow-up. Overall, the results highlight the need for structured communication mechanisms and shared commitment to ensure sustainable moral development. Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP masih sering berlangsung secara konseptual dan berpusat pada guru, sehingga keterkaitan nilai-nilai Islam dengan konteks sains, teknologi, dan pemecahan masalah nyata belum optimal. Kondisi ini berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta penerapan ajaran PAI dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran pembelajaran PAI berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa di SMP, terutama pada aspek pemahaman konsep, sikap religius, dan keterampilan abad ke 21. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen (PAI berbasis STEM) dan kelas kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, angket motivasi dan sikap religius, serta lembar observasi keterlibatan siswa. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata dan perhitungan peningkatan (N gain). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PAI berbasis STEM berperan positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional, ditandai oleh peningkatan skor tes dan motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi STEM dalam PAI dapat memperkuat relevansi materi, menumbuhkan berpikir kritis, dan mendorong internalisasi nilai melalui aktivitas belajar berbasis proyek dan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

The combination of information and communication technology into education have brought about meaningful changes in learning processes, especially within Islamic Religious Education. Technology-based learning media has become an alternative that is considered capable of increasing students' interest in learning. This research study to analyze the influence on the effect of digitally-assisted learning resources on students’ engagement in Islamic Religious Education. This research adopts a quantitative approach employing a survey method. Questionnaires were employed to collect data, and the results were analyzed utilizing appropriate statistical procedures. The findings indicate that the utilization of technology-based learning media positively influences students’ learning interest, as evidenced by increased attention and active involvement in the Islamic Religious Education learning process. Overall, the findings demonstrate that the adoption of technology in Islamic Religious Education learning constitutes an effective approach to enhancing learning quality in response to contemporary educational challenges

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of information technology use in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMAIT Fajar Ilahi, addressing challenges in delivering engaging and effective religious learning in the digital era. The rapid advancement of digital tools in education has created both opportunities and barriers for PAI teachers and students to integrate interactive media into learning. The research aims to determine how the use of information technology impacts student engagement, learning outcomes, and instructional delivery in PAI classes. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation of digital learning practices. Data were analyzed thematically to evaluate how technologies such as multimedia, e‑learning platforms, and digital resources influence PAI learning. The findings reveal that information technology enhances interactive learning, expands access to diverse learning resources, and increases student motivation, although challenges in teacher digital readiness and infrastructure remain. Results suggest that when effectively integrated, information technology use contributes positively to the quality of PAI learning by facilitating more dynamic and student‑centered instruction. These insights highlight the importance of strategic planning, teacher training, and pedagogical adaptation in maximizing the benefits of technology in PAI education.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama masih sering berfokus pada penguasaan materi secara hafalan dan pemahaman dasar, sehingga pengembangan kemampuan analitis siswa belum optimal. Padahal, kemampuan analitis merupakan bagian penting dari Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) yang diperlukan siswa untuk menalar, mengaitkan konsep keislaman dengan kehidupan nyata, serta mengambil keputusan secara rasional dan bernilai. Oleh karena itu, penerapan HOTS dalam pembelajaran PAI dipandang sebagai pendekatan yang relevan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Higher Order Thinking Skills dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap kemampuan analitis siswa di SMPIT Asy Syuuraa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment melalui model pretest–posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran PAI berbasis HOTS dan kelompok kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran PAI secara konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes kemampuan analitis yang disusun berdasarkan indikator berpikir tingkat tinggi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik inferensial berupa uji tes Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan analitis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran PAI berbasis HOTS menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan analitis yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Higher Order Thinking Skills dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan analitis siswa SMPIT Asy Syuuraa.

Abstract

This study analyzes Islamic Education (PAI) material in addressing the moral challenges faced by Generation Z in the modern digital era. The research is motivated by the increasing moral degradation among youth influenced by globalization, technological advancement, and the shift in value systems. The main objective is to examine how PAI materials in school curricula can respond to these moral challenges and contribute to the formation of noble character. This descriptive qualitative study employs library research as its primary method, utilizing books, journals, and related scientific articles as data sources. The data were analyzed through content analysis by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the moral values embedded within the PAI learning materials. The findings show that PAI materials still possess strong potential to strengthen students’ moral reasoning, particularly by emphasizing prophetic values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and social awareness. However, the integration of these values into the learning process remains limited and often less adaptive to the digital habits of Generation Z. The study concludes that revitalizing PAI material with contextual approaches, including digital-based learning and contemporary moral case studies, is essential to make moral education more relatable and effective for today’s youth.
