Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using flashcards to improve early reading skills in young children. This research is grounded in the need for engaging, interactive learning methods that align with the developmental characteristics of early childhood. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group. The sample consisted of children aged 4–6 years, divided into an experimental and a control group. The experimental group received reading instruction using flashcards for four weeks, while the control group used conventional teaching methods. The results indicate a significant improvement in children's reading abilities when using flashcards compared to the control group. The improvement is evident in letter recognition, syllable understanding, and the ability to read simple words. A t-test supports the finding that flashcards have a positive, significant impact on the development of early reading skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that flashcards are an effective and practical learning medium that supports early literacy development in young children.

Abstract

Continuous monitoring of child growth and development is critical to ensuring optimal health outcomes and early cognitive development; however, real-world practices are often constrained by limited access to information, time barriers, and low parental engagement. This study proposes and evaluates a web-based interactive system that integrates child growth monitoring with cognitive learning media into a unified digital platform. The research adopts a user-centered design approach, followed by system development using web technologies (PHP) and interactive multimedia (ActionScript), and comprehensive evaluation through functional testing and user studies. The proposed system incorporates key functionalities, including nutritional status assessment, age-based ideal body weight estimation, interactive learning modules for early childhood, and access to health information and primary healthcare services. Evaluation results demonstrate robust system performance, with all features operating reliably across multiple browser environments and producing outputs consistent with established manual calculations. Furthermore, user study findings indicate high acceptance levels and improved parental engagement in monitoring and supporting child development. Conceptually, this work contributes to bridging digital health and educational technology through an integrated web-based multimedia approach. In practice, the system offers a scalable solution to enhance preventive healthcare services and early cognitive stimulation, particularly in underserved communities with limited access to conventional healthcare infrastructure.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence, particularly ChatGPT, has significantly transformed the landscape of web-based information systems by enabling more interactive, adaptive, and efficient user experiences. Despite its widespread adoption, empirical evidence evaluating its effectiveness in enhancing user interaction and system performance remains limited. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of ChatGPT integration within web-based information systems, focusing on its impact on user interaction quality and overall system performance. An empirical approach was employed using a quantitative research design, with data collected from users interacting with a ChatGPT-powered web system via structured questionnaires and system performance metrics. The analysis used statistical methods to examine the relationships between ChatGPT utilization, user engagement, response accuracy, and system efficiency. The findings indicate that ChatGPT significantly improves user interaction by providing faster responses, more natural communication, and higher engagement levels. Additionally, the integration of ChatGPT improves system performance, particularly response time and task completion efficiency, though minor limitations in contextual understanding and occasional inaccuracies persist. These results suggest that ChatGPT is a valuable component for enhancing the functionality of modern web-based systems. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of integrating generative AI technologies to optimize digital system performance while emphasizing the need for continuous monitoring and refinement to address inherent limitations, thereby ensuring reliable and user-centered system development.

Abstract

Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Karyaprima, like many small-scale non-formal vocational training providers, relied on conventional promotional methods that limited its reach, interactivity, and the presentation of its training programs to prospective learners. This study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate a web-based multimedia platform to support the promotion of LKP Karyaprima. The Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model was adopted as the research and development framework. Data were collected through interviews with institutional stakeholders, observation of existing promotional practices, documentation review, expert validation, and a usability evaluation combining the WebQual 4.0 instrument and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The resulting platform integrated an institutional profile, training-program descriptions, photo and video documentation, instructor and facility information, alumni testimonials, an online registration feature, and an administrative content-management module. Expert validation indicated that the platform met content- and media-feasibility criteria, while the usability evaluation indicated a favourable overall user experience across the usability, information-quality, and interaction-quality dimensions. The findings suggested that the platform had the potential to strengthen the promotional visibility and perceived attractiveness of LKP Karyaprima among prospective learners.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has increased the utilization of wireless networks in higher education environments to support academic activities, administrative services, and digital communication. However, the widespread use of wireless networks also introduces various cybersecurity risks due to the open nature of wireless communication media. This study aims to analyze the security level of campus wireless networks using the penetration testing method to identify vulnerabilities and evaluate existing security mechanisms. The research applies a systematic penetration testing approach consisting of several stages, including information gathering, scanning, vulnerability assessment, exploitation testing, and reporting. The testing process focuses on analyzing wireless configurations, authentication mechanisms, encryption implementation, and potential unauthorized access risks. The results indicate that although the campus wireless network has implemented security protocols such as WPA/WPA2 and encryption mechanisms, several vulnerabilities remain, particularly related to weak password policies, limited access control, and insufficient network monitoring. Based on the vulnerability assessment, improvements are recommended through the implementation of stronger authentication methods, enhanced password management policies, continuous network monitoring, and periodic security evaluations. This research demonstrates that penetration testing is an effective method for identifying security weaknesses and improving wireless network protection. The findings are expected to provide valuable insights for educational institutions in developing more secure, reliable, and sustainable wireless network infrastructures.
