Abstract

Adolescence is a time when the development of reproductive organs begins. Adolescence is considered a sensitive period because there is a transition from childhood to adulthood which is filled with turmoil. At that time, adolescents will tend to search for their identity. Wrong associations and information will actually lead adolescents to high-risk sexual behavior habits and will ultimately lead them to early marriage. School is the right environment for adolescents to get information. Therefore, adolescents need to be given education about preventing early marriage. Educational activities were carried out at SMA N 7 Kota Jambi on February 24, 2024, which was attended by 22 female students. The time needed for educational activities is ± 60 minutes. The first 30 minutes of material presentation using ppt and leaflets were given to each participant. Furthermore, a discussion and question and answer session was carried out. After the education was completed, a posttest was carried out again, the level of adolescent knowledge was obtained from 82.58 to 93.42. It was concluded that there was an increase in adolescent knowledge about the impacts of early marriage, both physical, mental, economic and social impacts.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaseus unit accompanied by blockage of the keratin duct gland material characterized by the presence of blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, cysts are often found also scars in predilection areas such as face, upper shoulder of the superior extremities, chest and back that often occur in adolescence. The disease is not fatal, but it is quite worrying because it is associated with lowering confidence due to reduced facial beauty of the sufferer. Based on research in Southeast Asia, there are 40-80% of cases based on the Indonesian Cosmetic Dermatology Study Group PERDOSKI (2017) in Indonesia Acne vulgaris ranked third in the third most number of visitors to the Department of Skin and Sex Health Sciences in hospitals and skin clinics. Every year, there is an increase in acne sufferers. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of Knowledge and the merit of acne vulgaris in teenage girls in SMAN 7 Jambi City. This method of research is quantitative research with Descriptive analytics research design with cross sectional approach. The subject of this study is Teen Princess in SMAN 07 Jambi City which meets inclusion criteria and is willing to be respondents, this research sample is Teen Princess totaling 30 people who are in SMAN 07 Jambi City. The sampling technique is done with proposional random sampling. The research was conducted in September 2024 until August 2025. This research instrument uses questionnaires containing structured questions, data collection in this study using structured interview methods. The analysis used is bivariate analysis, the statistical size is displayed in the form of frequency distribution and percentage. The results of the analysis show the value of PR = 1.029 (95% CI: 0.597–1.773) with p-value = 0.042, meaning there is a significant link between the level of knowledge and the incidence of acne vulgaris.

Abstract

The Prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women worldwide has declined of 4.5 % over the past 19 years, while in Indonesia in 2019 the incidence of anemia among pregnant mothers has increased by 4.2 % from 2015. Riskesdas 2018 results show that 8.9% of pregnant women in Indonesia have anemia. Rambutan is one of the tropical plants that is rich in nutrients, rambutan contains vitamin C including potassium, magnesium, zinc, sodium, niacin, iron and protein. The iron can increase the amount of oxygen in the body that can help alleviate the symptoms of dizziness and fainting caused by iron deficiency or anaemia in pregnant women. The study was conducted in September 2022 until August 2023 at the PMB Putri Dewi. The aim of this study is to find out the picture of knowledge and attitude of pregnant mothers to consumption of rambutan to prevent anemia in pregnant women. This research is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection is done with a questionnaire. The population is all pregnant mothers who are PMB Putri Dewi which numbered 40 people with samples according to the inclusion criteria of as many as 30 people. Data analysis is done univariately. The results of the study showed that the majority of pregnant mothers have good knowledge, but the vast majority still have a negative attitude to the consumption of rambutan during pregnancy. From the results of this study, it is expected that health workers and obstetric service providers should be more active in educating the public about the benefits of rambutan consumption to prevent anaemia in pregnant mothers.

Abstract

Anemia is the biggest public health problem in the world, especially among pregnant women. Anemia occurs due to a lack of iron and folic acid in the body. Women who suffer from anemia during pregnancy have the potential to give birth to babies with low birth weight. Besides that, anemia can cause death of both mother and baby during the birth process. The impact of iron deficiency during pregnancy can be risky for the mother and fetus, bleeding occurs and the fetus can cause LBW. To prevent anemia in pregnant women, the pharmacological method is by consuming Fe tablets and the non-pharmacological method is by consuming foods that contain iron from animal ingredients and vegetable ingredients such as nuts, green vegetables, tofu and tempeh, etc. Apart from that, efforts that can be made are anemia counseling and screening. The aim of this community service is to provide educational knowledge about the use of food based on local wisdom in an effort to prevent iron deficiency anemia. This community service activity was carried out at the Muzilatulnisma Independent Practice Midwife, the target of this community service was pregnant women with a total of 15 people.  Sinta accredited national journal publication output target. The method used was to carry out health education by providing counseling using leaflets which was carried out on July 18 2023. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge after being provided with education.

Abstract

Anemia is the biggest public health problem in the world, especially for pregnant women. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women worldwide is 41.8%. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women is estimated in Asia at 48.2%. 60% of cases of anemia in pregnant women are due to iron deficiency. The risk of pregnant women who experience anemia faces the risk of death in pregnancy. Every year there are 500 thousand postpartum maternal deaths around the world as much as 20-40% of the main cause of death is anemia. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of pregnant women about spinach in preventing anemia at BPM Muzilatulnisma, Jambi City. This research is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive analytic approach with a cross sectional design. Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires, the research subjects in this study were 30 pregnant women selected by accidental sampling. This study was analyzed using univariate analysis. This research was conducted from September 2022 to July 2023. The results showed that 70% of pregnant women had good knowledge, and 30% had bad knowledge.

Abstract

Oxytocin massage is a massage along the spine (vertebrae) and is an effort to stimulate the hormone oxytocin after giving birth. Lemongrass oil can provide a relaxing effect on breastfeeding mothers and prevent postpartum blues. However, not many mothers know the benefits of oxytocin massage with lemongrass oil. Oxytocin massage cannot be done by mothers independently, therefore it requires husband's support. This study aims to determine the description of mothers' knowledge and husband's support in performing lemongrass oil oxytocin massage. The research method used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 45 breastfeeding mothers at PMB Muzilatulnisma Jambi. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires, data were analyzed univariately. The results of the study showed that 82.2% of respondents were aged 20-35 years, their last education was high school to undergraduate, 75.5% were housewives, 84.4% had good knowledge, 15.6% had poor knowledge. Husband's support was good at 73.3% and husband's support was poor at 26.7%. The conclusion of this study is that the majority of mothers have good knowledge and good husband support. It is recommended that husbands increase their support for their wives during the breastfeeding process in order to achieve exclusive breastfeeding for 9 months.
