Abstract

Kecemasan, atau anxiety, adalah suatu gangguan psikologis di mana individu yang mengalaminya seringkali mengalami perasaan takut atau kekhawatiran yang berulang, sehingga dapat menyebabkan hilangnya konsentrasi dan mencegah mereka dalam menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari dengan baik pada akhirnya lansia mengalami penurunan tingkat kemandirian activity of daily living (ADL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui “hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan tingkat kemandirian activity of daily living (ADL) pada lansia hipertensi di Desa Maruyung Kecamatan Pacet Kabupaten Bandung” jenis penelitian ini penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian studi korelasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 65 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar kuesioner dengan pengolahan data menggunakan rank spearmant. Hasil penelitian tingkat kecemasan hampir setengahnya berkategori kecemasan minimal yaitu sebanyak 30 responden (46,2%), dan Sebagian kecil berkategori kecemasan berat yaitu sebanyak 1 responden (1,5%). Tingkat kemandirian activity of daily living (ADL) hampir setengah nyadalam kategori Mandiri yaitu sebanyak 29 responden (44,6%), dan sebagian kecil memiliki ketergantungan total terdapat 1 responden (1,5%). Uji rank spearman menunjukan ada hubungan p-value (0,000) <alpha (0,05) sehingga H0 di tolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan tingkat kemandirian activity of daily living (ADL) memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dan arah korelasi berlawanan (negatif) artinya semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan, maka tingkat kemandirian lansia berkurang.

Abstract

Introduction: Adequate knowledge of breast care is essential for young women to support early prevention of breast health problems, including breast cancer. Effective and engaging nursing health education strategies are needed to improve students' understanding. Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Health Promotion Model–based animated video education in improving breast care knowledge among female university students. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a pretest–posttest control group design was conducted among first-year female students at Universitas Bale Bandung. A total of 122 participants were divided into an experimental group (n = 60) and a control group (n = 62). The experimental group received a 13-minute animated educational video, while the control group received no intervention. Knowledge was measured using a validated questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of 0.05. Result and Discussion: The experimental group showed a significant increase in mean knowledge scores after the intervention, whereas the control group showed no improvement and tended to experience a decrease. The findings indicate that animated video education effectively enhances students' understanding of breast care. Conclusions: Health education using animated video is effective in increasing breast care knowledge among female university students and can be applied as an alternative nursing strategy in campus-based health promotion programs
