Abstract

Single microstrip antenna has the characteristics of narrow bandwidth and small gain. This paper discusses the design of a microstrip array antenna that works at two working frequencies, namely 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for WiFi. The method used to obtain dual band frequencies is by adding slots on the side of the patch. The results obtained are the 4-element microstrip array antenna with feed line supply has better results when applied to WiFi. This feed line antenna has a bandwidth of 75 MHz - 184.4 MHz in accordance with IEEE 802.11n standards and has a gain of 4.321 dBi. Whereas the EMC supply has a large gain of 11.54 dBi but the bandwidth obtained is very narrow, namely 27.5 MHz.

Abstract

Filter adalah suatu perangkat dalam susunan elektronika telekomunikasi yang berfungsi untuk menyeleksi sinyal tertentu. Hairpin filter adalah salah satu jenis filter yang sering digunakan pada frekuensi microwave. Filter ini dibentuk dari resonator filter edge-couple dengan membalik ujung resonator ke bentuk “U”, ini tentunya akan mengurangi panjang dan meningkatkan aspek rasio secara berarti dalam susunan mikrostipnya. Dalam metode hairpin terdapat saluran terkopel dan saluran tidak terkopel. Perancangan filter BPF dengan metode hairpin ini bekerja pada frekuensi X-Band (9770 MHz) berbasis mikrostrip untuk radar cuaca. Pada realisasi filter ini mempunyai nilai bandwidth 230 MHz dengan insertion loss dibawah -3 dB, return loss -13 dB, dan VSWR = 1,56.

Abstract

Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system is a technology that has the potential to be developed to increase channel capacity. The increase in channel capacity in the MIMO system is not only determined by the number of antennas, but is determined by the characteristics and arrangement of the antenna concept. This study identifies the effect of circular polarization on the MIMO antenna system on channel capacity. Co-polarization consists of a Left Hand Circular Polarization (LHCP) and Right Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP) configuration, while cross-polarization consists of an RHCP-LHCP configuration. The co-polarization of the antenna with the LHCP configuration results in an estimated channel capacity of 11,578 bps / Hz when it is at the lowest Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is 5 dB
