Abstract

Abstrak Pengenalan format modulasi dari sinyal yang dideteksi merupakan salah satu bahasan penting pada sistem intelligent receiver yang digunakan untuk aplikasi di bidang militer maupun komersial. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan klasifikasi skema modulasi pada sinyal OFDM yaitu QPSK, 16-QAM dan 64-QAM. Sinyal OFDM tersebut disimulasikan melewati kanal frequency selective fading dan additive white gaussian noise. Sistem klasifikasi yang dibuat menggunakan ekstraksi ciri statistik dan pengklasifikasi berupa diagram keputusan dengan threshold yang dioptimasi menggunakan algoritma particle swarm optimization (PSO). Pada proses klasifikasi ditambahkan sistem voting dengan skenario penggunaan jumlah simbol OFDM sebanyak 1, 5, 10, 15 dan 20. Hasil akurasi klasifikasi yang optimum didapatkan pada penggunaan lima simbol OFDM yaitu 100 %, 99 %, 96 % untuk klasifikasi QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM pada minimum SNR receiver standar WiMAX IEEE 802.16e. Abstract Modulation recognition of the detected signal is one of important topics on intelligent receiver system used for military and commercial applications. (Therefore) This research explored the classifications of the OFDM signal modulation scheme namely QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM. The OFDM signal was simulated to pass through frequency selective fading channel and additive white gaussian noise. The classification system was developed using statistical feature extraction with a decision diagrams (tree diagram) as a classifier optimized by PSO algorithm. The increasing number of OFDM symbols in the classification process that applied a voting system improved the accuracy of the classification of each modulation scheme. The optimum accuracy of the classification had been obtained when five OFDM symbols were applied in the classification scenario. The accuracy was 100% for QPSK classification, 99 % for 16-QAM classification and 96 % for 64-QAM classification on the minimum SNR accepted by the receiver of a system that applied a standard WiMax IEEE 802.16e.   Keywords: classification modulation schemes OFDM, statistical characteristics, PSO.

Abstract

Abstrak Metode baru dalam mendesain suatu pattern reconfigurable antenna telah diteliti. Penelitian ini fokus pada optimasi antena patch lingkaran single layer pencatuan probe koaksial dengan mengintegrasikan 24 switch/shorting pin pada sisi patch yang disebut edge shorting pin dan 8 shorting pin membentuk lingkaran dengan radius tertentu dan selanjutnya disebut symmetrical control pin yang fungsinya sebagai metode penyepadan impedansi. Algoritma Genetika yang dikombinasikan dengan Finite Element Software digunakan untuk mengoptimasi kombinasi  switch, radius lingkaran symmetrical control pin, dan radius patch untuk mendapatkan kemampuan pattern reconfigurability. Antena ini menghasilkan 8 kemungkinan arah radiasi azzimuth dengan resolusi 45o dan arah elevasi 30o pada frekuensi 2,4 Ghz. Optimasi, simulasi, fabrikasi, dan pengukuran dilakukan untuk memverifikasi hasil penelitian. This study focuses on the optimization of a single layer circular patch antenna with probe feed by integrating the 24 switch / shorting pin on the side of the patch that called Edge Shorting Pins and 8 shorting pins form circular line in such radius that called Symmetrical Control Pins as a impedance matching method. Genetic algorithm combined with the Finite Element Software is used to optimize the switch combination, the radius of circular line of symmetrical control pins, and the patch radius to obtain a pattern reconfigurability capabilities. This antenna produces 8 possible directions of azimuth radiation with a resolution of 45o and 30o elevation direction at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan suatu desain pattern reconfigurable antenna dengan menitikberatkan pada optimasi antena planar berbentuk lingkaran dengan 24 switch berupa shorting pin pada tepi patch dan menambahkan celah melingkar pada patchnya sebagai metode penyepadan impedansi. Algoritma Genetika digunakan sebagai metode optimasi antena sedangkan Finite Element method digunakan sebagai metode komputasi untuk mendapatkan nilai parameter antena ketika proses evaluasi fungsi fitness. Keduanya dikolaborasikan untuk mendapatkan suatu desain antena yang mempunyai kemampuan pattern reconfigurable. Hasilnya diperoleh suatu desain antena pada frekuensi 2,4 Ghz dengan 24 pola pancar yang bisa di switch ke seluruh bidang azzimuth dimana semua pola pancar didesain pada arah elevasi 45o. Kata kunci: optimasi, celah melingkar, algoritma genetika, pattern reconfigurable antenna ABSTRACT This research aims to obtain a reconfigurable antenna pattern design with emphasize on the optimization of a planar circular antenna with 24 switchs on the edge of the patch and add a slit ring in the patch as a impedance matching method. Genetic Algorithm is used as an antenna optimization method while the The Finite Element method is used as a computational method to obtain the antenna parameters value when evaluating the fitness function. Both collaborated to obtain an antenna design that has the pattern reconfigurable ability. The result is 2,4 Ghz antenna design with 24 radiation patterns that can be switched to all azzimuth plane where all are designed in 45o of elevation plane. Abstract

In this paper, characterization of log-periodic fractal Koch antenna in series iteration and equipped with balance-unbalance (balun) unit is investigated numerically and experimentally. The proposed antenna which is deployed an FR-4 Epoxy dielectric substrate using printed-antenna techniques is designed based on Koch fractal geometry in series iteration to minimize its transversal dimension. Since the proposed antenna is a balanced antenna type, then it requires a balun circuit to be available being fed from a coaxial type transmission line. Prior to realization and experimental characterization, some basic antenna parameters including VSWR, impedance characteristic, gain, and radiation pattern are investigated numerically to obtain the optimum architectural design. Moreover, the number of antenna elements as well as the effect of balun unit is also analyzed numerically. From the result, it shows that the proposed antenna has a dimension of 120mm x 150mm, working bandwidth from 0.7GHz"“2.6GHz for VSWR < 2, and overall gain of more than 6dB for frequency range > 1.6GHz.

Abstract

Radar tembus tembok memerlukan akurasi yang baik dan sensitif agar dapat memperoleh radio image dari target. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut, bandwidth pulsa yang dipancarkan harus lebar. Pola pancar yang diinginkan dari antena radar tembus tembok adalah unidirectional, yakni sesuai fungsinya yaitu mendeteksi objek hanya di balik tembok. Maka, penelitian ini merancang antena mikrostrip Vivaldi Ultra Wide-Band (UWB). Bentuk patch Vivaldi dipilih karena memiliki keistimewaan memberikan bandwidth lebar. Konfigurasi patch antipodal akan mendukung pencatuan microstrip line, sedangkan penambahan beban sirkular pada setiap lengan Vivaldi akan menambah bandwidth, terutama pada batas frekuensi bawah. Hasil simulasi antena bekerja sepanjang frekuensi 3,1 – 10,6 GHz, sehingga antena dikategorikan sangat ultra wide bandwidth dengan gain tertinggi 9,98 dB dengan pola radiasi unidirectional. Pada antena yang direalisasikan dan dilakukan pengukuran, nilai return loss bernilai di bawah -10 dB sepanjang frekuensi 3,1 – 10,6 GHz. Maka antena telah memenuhi spesifikasi radar UWB tembus tembok.

Abstract

PIFA (Planar Inverted F Antennas) merupakan salah satu model antena yang banyak digunakan untuk antenna microstrip terutama untuk handset mobile seperti Handphone dan Modem. Antena microstrip banyak digunakan karena memiliki beberapa kelebihan diantaranya: low-profile , ringan dan mudah fabrikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh shorting plate circuit terhadap antena Microstrip yang bekerja pada sistem MIMO. Simulasi mengenai desain antena dibuat sesuai dengan parameter dan rumus yang sudah ada. Dalam Penelitian ini melihat pengaruh dimensi antena dengan shorting plate berbeda. Abstract

Abstract – Technology radio communication is currently developing, initially SDR (Software Defined Radio) is used by amateur radio to communicate , but with the presence of the SDR technology will have a major influence on technological development in the field of radio communication. SDR technology can replace several devices in a certain frequency range and mode, especially on military tactical equipment, so that it has a light weight, smaller dimensions and is reconfigurable in addition to this (multiband). In the future this technology will be very necessary to overcome various kinds of obstacles in many of these things. Because of that Software Defined Radio (SDR), problems in the technology platform can be easily other than that in terms of education its use can facilitate learning about the system general radio communication. Abstract

Radar is a part of an electronic element that consists of electromagnetic waves to detect and determine the location of an object. The Electronic Support Measure (ESM) is part of electronic warfare to search for intercepting, identifying and locating radiated electromagnetic energy for the purpose of immediate threat recognition. It should be able to sense the working frequency of 1-12 GHz, including at L-Band which has 1 - 2 GHz bandwidth. The horn antenna has a relatively large gain so that the electromagnetic wave reception is more sensitive and accurate. It can be used as receiver antennas in ESM design. However, it is important to adjust the dimensions of the waveguide, the horn antenna and the monopole to obtain the appropriate antenna specification. This study tells about designing an L-Band horn pyramid antenna that can be applied to ESM. Antenna consists of rectangular waveguide, horn pyramid and monopole. The waveguide material and the pyramid horn made from 0.7 mm brass plates. While the monopole material is a 12 mm copper rod with length, placed 7 cm from the backside of the waveguide. Optimization results obtained 1.19 GHz bandwidth at L-Band, 13.74 dB gain, 1.26 VSWR , 18.87 dB Return Loss and unidirectional radiation pattern. These specifications comply the ESM antenna specifications.
