Abstract

Manufacturing business competition is increasingly competitive. Companies will survive if they are efficient in their operations and are able to maximize the utility of their production machine capacity. Machine utility can be maximized if the machine is always ready for production properly. PT. XYZ is a printing company. The problems at PT. XYZ include the cessation of the production process due to machine damage and machine performance has not been measured because the machine history database is still done manually. The purpose of this study is to design an integrated machine maintenance and repair information system that helps technicians when making repairs and is able to monitor and evaluate machine performance and the performance of the engineering department. The method used in this study is to conduct a survey of the existing system and plan a system that is able to analyze machine conditions in detail. The result of this study is a maintenance information system that can be used well at PT. XYZ. This system is able to assess machine performance and the performance of the engineering department and is able to be a reference when repairs and the report data can be used to plan maintenance and development of the engineering team.

Abstract

Implementasi teknologi khususnya dalam bidang software engineering dapat mengembangkan suatu produk yang dihasilkan untuk dimanfaatkan. Informasi dan telekomunikasi (TIK) saat ini mendorong manusia memanfaatkan segala sesuatu dengan menerapkan teknologi digital yang ada. Khususnya dalam bidang bahasa pemrograman yang begitu pesat untuk dipelajari dalam kalangan sekolah pendidikan dasar, sekolah menengah pertama, sekolah menengah atas sederajat bahkan perguruan tinggi hingga universitas. Pembelajaran sudah dibekali dengan ilmu pengetahuan untuk menekuni bahasa pemrograman. Begitu banyak software yang tersedia berbasis gratis untuk digunakan sebagai pembelajaran pemrograman, termasuk pemrograman untuk perangkat keras tanpa harus mempunyai perangkat kerasnya. Bahasa pemrograman arduino yang digunakan untuk proses transfer knowledge dalam melaksanakan tridarma perguruan tinggi tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Indraprasta PGRI dengan mitra sekolah SMK Daarul Uluum mempunyai sasaran agar peserta memahami pemrogaman pada perangkat keras. Pembelajaran adalah membuat traffic light yaitu lampu yang digunakan untuk mengatur kelancaran lalu lintas di suatu persimpangan jalan dengan cara memberi kesempatan pengguna jalan dari masing-masing arah untuk berjalan secara bergantian. Peserta belajar membuat sistem embedded assembler secara simulasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi simulasi online. Peserta mampu merangkai traffic light dan memprogramnya, sehingga traffic light bisa berfungsi seperti di apikasi nyata. Kedepan diharpakan pelatihan dilanjutkan dengan menambah menu tampilan detik.

Abstract

Competition in the business world is getting tighter, including in the manufacturing industry. Companies that will survive are companies that can maximize machine capacity with the most efficient costs in their operations. PT. XYZ already has a maintenance information system to monitor machine performance but does not yet have a system to monitor costs incurred for machine maintenance and repairs so that it cannot find out machine performance in terms of costs. The purpose of this study is to complement the existing maintenance information system with an additional integrated cost monitoring system that helps the engineering department to find out the costs incurred in detail. The method used in this study is to conduct a survey of the existing system and plan a system that is able to find out machine costs in detail. The results of this study are a maintenance and machine cost information system that can be used well at PT. XYZ. This system is able to assess machine performance, engineering department performance and is able to find out the costs incurred in detail and the report data can be used for maintenance planning and spare part reserves in the engineering department.

Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology in the last few decades has experienced very rapid progress and has had a broad impact on various aspects of life, ranging from social, economic, health, to education. In the context of electrical engineering and coding education, various simulation-based digital learning platforms have begun to be widely used to replace or complement conventional practices. One such platform is Tinkercad, a web-based application that allows users to create virtual electronic circuit simulations and program microcontrollers such as Arduino. This platform is very suitable for use in the process of learning the basics of electronics and programming (coding) because the interface is simple and easy to understand for beginners. For this reason, the Community Service Activity of Indraprasta PGRI University was carried out by holding an introduction to coding training for electrical applications with Tinkercad for students of MAN Insan Cendekia Pekalongan and was carried out online. The purpose of this training is to introduce basic electricity and basic programming and its application in the world of electricity. The training method is in the form of lectures and practice in making simple electrical circuits and ends with making a traffic light project using Arduino programmed through the Tinkercad platform. The training participants were invited to understand the basic electrical concepts, get to know electrical components, understand the basic concepts of programming and compile circuits and program codes in stages. The results of the training showed an increase in students' understanding of the basic concepts of electricity, microcontrollers and programming. This training is expected to be the first step in encouraging digital literacy and technological skills for MAN IC Pekalongan students in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan kebutuhan primer yang vital dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu penggunaannya adalah untuk penerangan listrik, yang saat ini umumnya masih menggunakan sistem manual. Penerangan yang dinyalakan dan dimatikan secara manual oleh manusia berpotensi menimbulkan pemborosan listrik akibat kelalaian, dimana lampu sering kali dibiarkan menyala meski tidak ada aktivitas. Solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah sistem penerangan otomatis atau smart lighting. Penerapan smart lighting harus disesuaikan dengan kondisi ruangan; ruangan outdoor dan indoor memiliki pemicu nyala atau mati lampu yang berbeda. Dalam penelitian ini, dirancang dan dibuat prototipe smart lighting untuk kawasan perumahan di Bekasi, Indonesia. Sistem ini menggunakan kombinasi sensor cahaya untuk area outdoor dan sensor gerak untuk area indoor. Hal baru yang diusulkan adalah penggunaan kombinasi sensor cahaya dan sensor gerak untuk ruangan yang juga memanfaatkan sinar matahari sebagai sumber penerangan. Hasil pengujian prototipe menunjukkan bahwa lampu dapat dikontrol secara otomatis dengan sensor, sesuai dengan kondisi yang ditentukan.

Abstract

Industrial competition requires companies to continuously improve production efficiency and reduce waste in their operational processes. This study aims to identify waste in the production process and propose improvement strategies using the Lean Manufacturing approach. The research was conducted at PT XYZ, a batik manufacturing company that implements a make‑to‑order production system. The methods used in this study are Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to analyze material and information flow and the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) to improve workplace organization. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of the production process. The results show several non‑value‑added activities such as waiting time, excessive inventory, and inefficient workplace layout. After implementing improvements using VSM and 5S, the total production time decreased from 485 minutes to 350 minutes. These results indicate that the integration of VSM and 5S can significantly improve production efficiency.
