Abstract

This study examines the integration and implementation of the values of Islamic educational philosophy in the learning process. The objectives of this study are: (1) to explain the concept of integrating the values of Islamic educational philosophy into the Merdeka Curriculum, (2) to analyze the role of the Deep Learning approach in its application, and (3) to identify effective strategies for internalizing the values of Islamic educational philosophy in learning. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various scientific sources related to Islamic educational philosophy and learning. The research findings indicate that the integration of Islamic educational philosophy values can be achieved by linking curriculum content to moral and spiritual values. This can be implemented in the classroom through class discussions, experiential learning activities that draw on local and Indonesian cultures, and teachers setting a good example in their daily lives within the school environment. This approach helps students understand and apply Islamic values in their lives and supports the development of knowledge, positive attitudes, and social and spiritual responsibility. In conclusion, these findings affirm that integration that is purposeful and supported by a Deep Learning approach can create meaningful learning and contribute to the holistic character development of students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concepts of the obligation to seek knowledge, the advancement of knowledge, and the application of knowledge from the perspective of Islamic teachings. The study employed a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were collected from the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic scholarly works, and relevant scientific literature, and were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that Islam positions knowledge as a fundamental element in human development and civilization, encompassing spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions. The obligation to seek knowledge is viewed as both an individual and collective responsibility that supports personal growth and societal welfare. Furthermore, the development of knowledge in Islam emphasizes the integration of faith, reason, and ethical values, while the application of knowledge serves as a means of fulfilling religious responsibilities and contributing to the common good. The study concludes that the obligation to seek knowledge, its development, and its application constitute an interconnected framework that shapes the character, responsibility, and holistic development of Muslims.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of anthropological approaches in understanding the dynamics of Islamic education within Indonesia’s multicultural context, particularly in relation to the rising issues of intolerance, exclusivism, and tensions rooted in socio cultural diversity. Using a library research design, the study analyzes contemporary scholarly works, policy documents, and recent empirical findings published in the last five years to explore how local variations in Islamic educational practices emerge across pesantren, madrasah, and public schools. The research further investigates how Islamic teachings are negotiated, adapted, and reinterpreted within diverse cultural settings, and how these processes shape students’ attitudes toward tolerance and inclusivity. The findings show that anthropological perspectives emphasizing culture, context, and everyday social practices provide essential insights for building Islamic education models that are more adaptive, inclusive, and socially grounded. The study concludes that incorporating anthropological analysis into Islamic education policy and practice can strengthen multicultural understanding and contribute to the development of more cohesive and harmonious learning environments within Indonesia’s plural society.
