Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of halal certification and entrepreneurial competence on MSME performance with consumer trust as a mediating variable in MSMEs in East Jakarta participating in the empowerment program of the Ministry of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia. This study employed a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique involving 140 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that entrepreneurial competence has a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, while halal certification and consumer trust have no significant effect on MSME performance. Halal certification and entrepreneurial competence are proven to have a positive and significant effect on consumer trust. Furthermore, consumer trust is unable to mediate the effect of either halal certification or entrepreneurial competence on MSME performance. These findings indicate that improvement in MSME performance is largely determined by the internal capabilities of business actors rather than consumer trust factors. Therefore, strengthening entrepreneurial competence needs to be the main focus in MSME development programs, while halal certification plays a greater role in enhancing business credibility and image.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Game Based Learning model using Zep Quiz platform on students' learning interest in Economics subjects class X at SMA Negeri 31 Jakarta. The low interest in learning among students is a major problem in the learning process, especially in economics subjects that are considered abstract and theoretical. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 64 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through learning interest questionnaires and analyzed using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant influence of the Game Based Learning model using the Zep Quiz platform on students' learning interest. The experimental group showed a higher average learning interest score compared to the control group. The use of interactive and fun game-based learning is able to create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere, increase student engagement, and reduce boredom in learning. This study concludes that the Game Based Learning model using the Zep Quiz platform is effective in increasing students' interest in learning economics. This research contributes to the development of innovative and technology-based learning models to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Saving behavior is an essential aspect of developing students' ability to manage their finances wisely from an early age. However, the saving habits of some students remain relatively low and are influenced by various factors, including financial literacy, peer influence, and lifestyle. The inconsistent findings of previous studies regarding the relationships among these variables indicate the existence of a research gap that requires further investigation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of financial literacy, peer influence, and lifestyle on the saving behavior of students at SMAN 2 Depok and to examine the mediating role of lifestyle in these relationships. This study employed a quantitative approach using a causal associative research design. The population consisted of students at SMAN 2 Depok, with a sample of 140 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The findings revealed that financial literacy and peer influence had a positive and significant effect on students' saving behavior. In addition, financial literacy had a negative and significant effect on lifestyle, while peer influence had a positive and significant effect on lifestyle. On the other hand, lifestyle had no significant effect on saving behavior and was unable to mediate the effects of financial literacy and peer influence on students' saving behavior. These findings indicate that students' saving behavior is more strongly influenced by financial literacy and peer influence than by lifestyle.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of the mining sector’s contribution and Average Years of Schooling (AYS) on the growth of Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP), as well as the impact of the mining sector’s contribution and Local Revenue (PAD) on the Human Development (IPM). This quantitative study employs multiple linear regression on panel data (a combination of time series from 2011–2024 and cross-sectional data) across eight mining-producing provinces in Indonesia selected through a purposive sampling technique. Secondary data were sourced from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Budget and State Financial Management (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance. The results indicate that the mining sector’s contribution has a positive and significant effect on GRDP growth; thus, no evidence of the resource curse was found in the context of economic growth. However, the mining sector’s contribution exhibits a negative and insignificant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), indicating a tendency toward the “resource curse” phenomenon, as the economic benefits of mining have not yet been optimally converted into public welfare. On the other hand, RLS is found to have a positive and significant effect on GRDP growth, consistent with human capital theory. Local Revenue (PAD) also has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), confirming that public welfare is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of local governments in managing fiscal capacity for public services, rather than relying solely on mining revenues.
