Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the degree of religious moderation among high school students. There are many cases of intolerance and violence between students in South Jakarta, that require a solution in the form of an attitude of religious moderation. Religious moderation, within the Indonesian context, represents a balanced approach to religious practices and beliefs, promoting harmony within the pluralistic Indonesian society. It encompasses an individual's commitment to religious principles, interactions within a diverse community, and civic responsibilities. Religious moderation teaches to have attitudes and actions in middle proportion. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive methodology. Data is primarily collected through a structured questionnaire. The study's population consists of high school seniors in South Jakarta, with a representative sample drawn from five schools in the region. The findings reveal an overall mean score of 81.38 on a 0-100 scale, indicating a "good" level of religious moderation. Examining specific indicators, the results are as follows: (1) National commitment scores 80.60, categorizing as "good"; (2) Tolerance scores 82.28, also falling within the "good" category; (3) Anti-violence records 76.92, indicating a "medium" level; and (4) Accommodation of local culture registers 85.73, signifying a "good" level of moderation. This research contributes to providing an overview to the government and schools about the quality of religious moderation among high school students, so that the government and schools can take strategic actions such as developing curriculum, learning strategies and teaching materials in an effort to improve the quality of religious moderation attitudes among students

Abstract

Distance education technologies have become viable alternatives to traditional education. While asynchronous learning allows students complete freedom of time and location, the synchronous model provides an online learning platform where instructors and students meet in the same or different locations in a virtual environment. This research aims to explore the experiences of eight undergraduate students of the Islamic Education Department at the Al Azhar University of Indonesia in the online Asynchronous Learning Method (ALM). Specifically, it investigates students’ understandings of ALM, explores their perceptions of its advantages and disadvantages, looks into their strategies in coping with challenges and obstacles they face, and their aspirations for ALM. In doing so, a qualitative case study was used to collect the data through open-ended interviews and focus group discussion (FGD) which provide personal and specific pictures of asynchronous learning. The findings revealed that apart from giving students flexibility and independence of learning, ALM has not been utilized optimally at the university level. ALM is mostly used to transfer information without the element of teaching and instructions. Hence, there is room for improvement from the current e-learning practices in which this study provides some recommendations for future online pedagogy.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to explain the process of developing learning strategies in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) activities to improve the quality of religious moderation in students in schools. The development process was carried out based on scientific studies, expert opinions and scientific methodology steps. The study used a development method with four steps, analyzing activities, developing P5 based on scientific studies and expert opinions, conducting trials and dissemination in schools. The results of the study found that the improvement in quality was good. The value of religious moderation was 88.53, where the previous year was only 81.38. National commitment scored 88.25 where previously it was 80.60, tolerance scored 90.01 which was previously 82.28, anti-violence scored 88.03 where previously it was 76.92 and finally 90.12 where previously it was 85.73. This study contributes to providing ideas for policy makers and teachers that improving the quality of religious moderation in schools can be done with concrete, planned and measurable steps through the development of P5 learning strategies in the classroom. Abstract

Environmental education plays a strategic role in shaping a generation that has awareness, creativity, thinking skills, and the ability to innovate in facing global environmental challenges. This article aims to critically analyze the role of creativity, thinking skills, and innovation in environmental education in schools and identify challenges and opportunities in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with analytical methods on various relevant literature reviews and empirical findings. Data were obtained through analysis of scientific journals, research reports, and education policy documents related to environmental education and 21st-century learning. The results of the analysis show that the integration of creativity, critical thinking skills, and innovation in environmental education can improve students' conceptual understanding, environmental awareness, and their ability to formulate solutions to environmental problems in a contextual manner. However, implementation in schools still faces obstacles in the form of limited teacher competence, a curriculum that does not fully support innovative learning, and a lack of institutional support. Therefore, systematic efforts are needed through strengthening teacher capacity, developing an adaptive curriculum, and supporting school policies so that environmental education can function optimally in shaping students who are creative, critical, and oriented towards sustainability.

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated an Adaptive Individualized Numeracy Learning Program training module for parents of children aged 5–6 years. A needs analysis involving focus group discussions and open-ended questionnaires revealed parents’ limited understanding of multidimensional numeracy concepts and individualized learning strategies, as well as the absence of structured guidance for home-based support. Using the ADDIE framework, the module was systematically designed, validated by experts, and implemented through small- and large-group trials. Findings indicated that the module met high standards of content and language feasibility and was practically applicable in home learning contexts. Effectiveness testing demonstrated a significant improvement in parents’ knowledge and readiness to design adaptive numeracy activities, with a very large effect size. Qualitative findings further showed enhanced parental confidence, improved ability to align activities with children’s developmental levels, and increased use of play-based strategies in daily routines. Overall, the module is pedagogically feasible and effective in strengthening parents’ capacity to support individualized early numeracy development at home.

Abstract
