Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires learning approaches that integrate interactive media to enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding. However, Informatics learning in many senior high schools is still dominated by teacher-centered instruction, which limits students’ opportunities to explore concepts actively. Therefore, innovative digital learning media are needed to support more interactive and student-centered learning environments. This study aims to develop and evaluate interactive multimedia for learning basic computer operations and software functions in Grade 10 Informatics. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model, which applies a systematic instructional design through three stages: define, develop, and evaluate. The study involved 30 tenth-grade students and two Informatics teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Bukittinggi, Indonesia. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The results show that the multimedia achieved very high validity (4.62) and excellent practicality (90.6%). The effectiveness test produced an N-gain score of 0.60, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. These findings suggest that the multimedia is valid, practical, and moderately effective for supporting digital learning aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).

Abstract

Building drawing instruction in vocational secondary schools (SMK) continues to face significant challenges, particularly low student learning outcomes attributed to teacher-centered approaches and suboptimal integration of industry-relevant technology. This study aims to analyze the differences in building drawing learning outcomes across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains between students taught using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Revit and those receiving conventional instruction in the DPIB department at SMK Negeri 4 Palembang. A quantitative quasi-experimental design with Non-Equivalent Control Group and pretest–posttest procedure was employed. Subjects were Grade XII DPIB students in the 2024/2025 academic year: experimental group (n = 32) and control group (n = 30). Data were collected through cognitive tests, project assessment rubrics, and attitude questionnaires, then analyzed using independent and paired sample t-tests after fulfilling normality and homogeneity requirements, with effect size measured by Cohen's d. The PjBL-Revit model was implemented at a very good level (88.89%). Cognitive outcomes differed significantly between experimental (M = 89.91) and control groups (M = 67.27), with p < 0.05 and a very large effect size (Cohen's d = 4.74). Psychomotor outcomes also differed significantly (experimental: M = 77.95 vs. control: M = 65.40), as did affective outcomes (experimental: M = 3.14/4.00 vs. control: M = 2.71/4.00). These findings confirm that PjBL assisted by Revit not only enhances technical drawing competencies but also aligns vocational training with digital construction industry standards.

Abstract

The practicum learning process in vocational education requires instructional media that support students in understanding work procedures systematically and independently. However, the printed jobsheets used in forward-reverse circuit learning still have limitations in visualization and interactivity. This study aims to develop an electronic jobsheet (e-jobsheet) for forward-reverse circuit materials and determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model, consisting of three stages: define, develop, and evaluate. The participants included expert validators, subject teachers, and 30 eleventh-grade students in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering program. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The findings revealed that the developed e-jobsheet achieved material validity of 75% (valid), media validity of 85.93% (very valid), and language validity of 94.65% (very valid). The practicality test showed a score of 91.67% (very practical). In addition, the effectiveness test indicated an improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average pretest score increasing from 55 to 88.1 in the posttest and producing an N-gain score of 0.78 in the high category. Therefore, the developed e-jobsheet is considered valid, practical, and effective for supporting digital-based and student-centered practicum learning in forward-reverse circuit materials.
