The study used a cross-sectional design, with data collected by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study was 5,501 couples of childbearing age, with a sample of 95 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The study was conducted in the Muara Kelingi Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area in Musi Rawas Regency from December 23, 2025, to January 6, 2026. Univariate analysis results indicated that almost half of the respondents (36.8%) of fertile couples in the Muara Kelingi Community Health Center working area in Musi Rawas Regency in 2025 had insufficient knowledge. The majority of respondents (57.9%) had low education levels, and the majority (72.6%) of respondents did not use an IUD. Bivariate analysis results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and IUD choice (p-value 0.012). There was also a significant relationship between education level and IUD choice (p-value 0.034). It is hoped that fertile couples will be more active in participating in family planning counseling, community health centers will improve the quality of counseling and involve their husbands, educational institutions will strengthen family planning counseling education, and future researchers will examine other factors influencing IUD choice.

Although various countries have implemented nutritional interventions, the prevalence of undernourished children remains a challenge in many regions, particularly in developing countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the role of midwives in home care services and PMT provision and the nutritional status of toddlers in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area of Bengkulu City. The study used a cross-sectional design, and data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 75 mothers with toddlers aged 0-59 months in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center working area of Bengkulu City using a simple random sampling technique. Univariate analysis results showed that nearly half of the respondents, 28 (37.3%) in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center (Puskesmas) work area in Bengkulu City, reported that midwives played an inadequate role in home care services and assisted with PMT provision. Some respondents, 40 (53.3%) in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center work area in Bengkulu City, reported good nutritional status. Bivariate analysis results showed a significant relationship between the role of midwives in home care services and assisted with PMT provision and the nutritional status of toddlers in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center work area in Bengkulu City, with a p-value of 0.003. Health workers should improve their role in home care services and assisted with PMT provision through regular home visits, monitoring toddler nutritional status, and providing easily understood nutrition education that involves families to prevent both undernutrition and overnutrition.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2023), immunization is a highly effective health intervention in reducing infant and toddler mortality. More than 1.8 million Indonesian children have not received complete routine immunizations over the past six years, from 2018 to 2023. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and compliance with basic immunizations in infants in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, in 2025. The study used a cross-sectional design, with data collected by distributing questionnaires to 40 mothers with infants aged 12-59 months using a simple random sampling technique. Univariate analysis results showed that almost half of the respondents (17 (42.5%) in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, had inadequate knowledge, and more than half (22 (55.0%) in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, in 2025) were non-compliant with their infants' basic immunizations. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and infant compliance with basic immunizations in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Work Area of Bengkulu City in 2025, with a p-value of 0.017. The Sidomulyo Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Bengkulu City should enhance health promotion efforts through ongoing counseling and education regarding the importance of basic immunizations for infants. This education should not only emphasize the type and schedule of immunizations, but also the benefits, safety, and management of post-immunization side effects.

Abstract

According to global data from the World Health Organization (WHO), worldwide, approximately 10% of pregnant women and 13% of new mothers experience mental disorders, particularly depression. In developing countries, this figure is even higher, at 15.6% during pregnancy and 19.8% after childbirth. In severe cases, maternal distress can be so severe that they may even commit suicide. Furthermore, affected mothers are unable to function properly. As a result, child growth and development can also be impaired (WHO, 2023). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety in third-trimester pregnant women facing childbirth at Dr. Sobirin Regional Hospital, Musi Rawas Regency in 2025.The study used a cross-sectional design. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 33 respondents, including pregnant women in their third trimester at Dr. Sobirin Regional Hospital, Musi Rawas Regency, using a total sampling technique. Univariate analysis revealed that more than half of the respondents, or 54.5%, were in the third trimester of pregnancy. Abstract

In 2020, an estimated 287,000 maternal deaths occurred, equivalent to one death every two minutes. A recent WHO study reported that hemorrhage, most often occurring during or after childbirth, was responsible for nearly a third (27%) of maternal deaths, with preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders contributing an additional 16%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of high-risk pregnant women regarding the prevention of pregnancy complications in the Bukit Mulya Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area in Mukomuko Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental "one-group pretest-posttest" design, involving only one group without a control group. The pretest was administered to each respondent before the treatment. The researcher then administered the treatment to each respondent, and then administered the posttest to 33 respondents using a total sampling technique. Univariate analysis revealed that more than half of the respondents 19 (57.6%) in the Bukit Mulya Community Health Center working area in Mukomuko Regency) had poor knowledge before receiving health education, while more than half 17 (51.5%) had good knowledge after receiving health education. The bivariate analysis results, due to the data being normally distributed, yielded a paired samples test with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating a significant effect between health education and the knowledge of high-risk pregnant women regarding preventing pregnancy complications. This is to ensure that health workers can improve and maintain the provision of planned and continuous health education to high-risk pregnant women using engaging and easy-to-understand methods and media.
