Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Work-Life Balance (WLB), Leadership Style (LS), and Intrinsic Motivation (IM) on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees of PT. BPR BKK Kendal. The research population consisted of 92 employees, all of whom were included as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that WLB, LS, and IM have positive and significant effects on employees’ OCB. Work-Life Balance contributes to increased employee satisfaction and engagement, which encourages voluntary behavior and extra-role contributions to the organization. A communicative and responsive leadership style fosters employee loyalty and initiative in performing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities. Intrinsic motivation strengthens discretionary behavior as employees are driven by internal satisfaction and personal achievement. These findings support the application of Social Exchange Theory in human resource management, emphasizing that organizational attention to employee well-being, effective leadership, and intrinsic motivation promotes consistent OCB. The practical implication of this study highlights the importance for the management of PT. BPR BKK Kendal to continuously develop policies that support work-life balance, responsive leadership, and intrinsic motivation to enhance productivity, engagement, and employee loyalty. However, this study is limited to employees of a single rural bank and uses a cross-sectional design, which restricts the generalizability of the findings. Future research is recommended to include additional variables derived from Social Exchange Theory and examine their mediating roles in influencing OCB.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and reward on employee performance, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable at PT CJ Feed and Care Plant (Packing Division). Using a quantitative causality approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 66 respondents, representing the entire population in the packing section. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results showed that leadership style, reward, and organizational commitment have a positive and significant direct effect on performance. Leadership style was also found to have a significant effect on organizational commitment, which subsequently acts as a mediator in enhancing performance. However, a unique result was found regarding the reward variable, where organizational commitment failed to mediate the effect of reward on performance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that management redesign the reward system so that it is not only transactional-financial but also incorporates non-financial aspects to foster emotional loyalty. Additionally, it is necessary to strengthen managerial competencies for front-line leaders to create a work culture capable of internalizing organizational goals into personal employee commitment for sustainable performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes strategies to optimize the local food supply chain for the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in Kendal Regency by integrating MSMEs with Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG). Using a qualitative case study approach, the research identifies structural barriers such as seasonal production fluctuations, limited cold chain infrastructure, and inconsistent quality standards. To address these, the study proposes a supply chain model focused on strengthening MSME institutions through long-term partnerships and data-driven logistics systems. Key recommendations include local government incentives and accelerated development of post-harvest facilities. The results suggest that solid MSME-SPPG integration will not only improve community nutrition but also drive the local economy and enhance regional food self-sufficiency. By aligning local production with SPPG needs, Kendal Regency can transform a national program into a sustainable catalyst for economic growth.
