Abstract

School cooperatives are an important medium for supporting economic learning and character development among students through entrepreneurial activities. The success of school cooperatives is strongly influenced by the role of leadership in their management. This article aims to analyze the types of leadership in improving the performance of school cooperatives. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study based on various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant previous research. The results of the study indicate that each leadership style has a different impact on the performance of school cooperatives. Transformational leadership is proven to enhance motivation, innovation, and member participation through inspiration and individualized consideration. Democratic leadership provides opportunities for participation in decision-making, thereby increasing members’ sense of responsibility. Meanwhile, transactional leadership contributes to improving discipline through a system of rewards and punishments. Autocratic leadership accelerates decision-making processes but may reduce member participation if not applied proportionally. In contrast, laissez-faire leadership gives members freedom but may lead to a lack of direction in management. Overall, transformational and democratic leadership are considered the most effective in improving school cooperative performance as they create a balance between motivation, participation, and innovation within the organization.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perekonomian masyarakat, salah satunya melalui industri pengolahan pangan seperti usaha produksi tahu. Tahu Sari Delai merupakan usaha pengolahan tahu yang telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1981 dan memiliki prospek usaha yang menarik untuk dikaji melalui studi kelayakan bisnis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha Tahu Sari Delai berdasarkan aspek produksi, pemasaran, keuangan, legalitas, teknologi, dan lingkungan (AMDAL). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan pemilik usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usaha Tahu Sari Delai memiliki proses produksi yang efektif dengan memadukan teknologi sederhana dan metode tradisional sehingga kualitas produk tetap terjaga. Dari aspek pemasaran, usaha ini memiliki pasar yang stabil dengan pelanggan tetap serta jaringan distribusi yang telah terbentuk selama lebih dari empat dekade. Dari aspek keuangan, usaha mampu menghasilkan omzet yang cukup baik dengan sumber modal berasal dari modal pribadi. Aspek legalitas telah terpenuhi melalui kepemilikan izin usaha dan sertifikat halal, sedangkan aspek teknologi menunjukkan penerapan sistem semi-modern. Namun, pengelolaan limbah masih perlu ditingkatkan agar lebih ramah lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, usaha Tahu Sari Delai dinilai layak untuk terus dijalankan dan dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan.
