Abstract

This community service program was carried out in Ohoi Ohoidertutu, West Kei Kecil District, Southeast Maluku Regency, to enhance the capacity of the village government and the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in utilizing social media to promote tourist destinations and local products. The village has strong potential, including white-sand beaches, distinctive local culture, and processed seafood products and handicrafts, but these assets have not been optimally managed due to limited knowledge of digital marketing. The activities included socialization, training, and one month of mentoring. The socialization aimed to increase understanding of the importance of social media, while the training focused on creating creative content, digital marketing strategies, and professional account management. Mentoring ensured that the strategies taught were applied consistently. The results showed a significant increase in both the quantity and quality of promotional content on social media, along with a rise in tourism inquiries. A village social media management team was also established and committed to sustaining promotional efforts. This program demonstrates that targeted use of social media can improve destination visibility and local product marketing. Moving forward, advanced training and collaboration with tourism actors, influencers, and media outlets are needed to expand promotional reach sustainably.
