Abstrak: Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah: “Bagaimanakah peningkatan kemampuan membaca lancar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan media kartu kata pada murid kelas I Sekolah Dasar Negeri 18 Pontianak Barat?â€. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian murid kelas I SD Negeri 18 Pontianak Barat yang berjumlah 32 orang. Kesimpulan adalah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca lancar dengan menggunakan media kartu kata pada siswa kelas I SDN 18 Pontianak Barat. Secara khusus disimpulkan: (1) Kemampuan membaca lancar dalam mengalami peningkatan dari penelitian awal 21.88%, dan siklus III meningkat sebesar 87,50%. (2) Kemampuan membaca lancar dalam intonasi yang benar mengalami peningkatan, ini dapat dilihat dari penelitian awal 23.44%, dan siklus III meningkat sebesar 75,00%. (3) Kemampuan membaca lancar dalam kejelasan ucapan mengalami peningkatan. Ini dilihat dari penelitian awal 56,25%, dan siklus III 71,87%. (4) Kemampuan membaca lancar dalam lafal mengalami peningkatan, ini dilihat dari penelitian awal 39,07%, dan siklus III meningkat sebesar 76,57%.   Kata Kunci: Peningkatan, Membaca Lancar, Media Kartu, Bahasa Indonesia   Abstract: The problem of this study is: "How does an increase in the ability to read fluently in Indonesian language learning by using a media card class I told the students Elementary School 18 Pontianak Barat?". The method in this study is descriptive, with the shape of survey research. Research subjects Elementary School first grader 18 West Pontianak totaling 32 people. The conclusion is that there is an increased ability to read fluently with the media card using the word in the first grade students of SDN 18 Pontianak Barat. Specifically concluded: (1) The ability to read fluently in increased 21.88% from the beginning of the study, and the third cycle increased by 87.50%. (2) The ability to read fluently in correct intonation has increased, it can be seen from the initial research 23:44%, and the third cycle increased by 75.00%. (3) The ability to read fluently in speech clarity has increased. It is seen from the beginning of the study 56.25%, 71.87% and third cycle. (4) The ability to read fluently in pronunciation has increased, is seen from the beginning of the study 39.07%, and the third cycle increased by 76.57%.
