Latar belakang : Gaya kepemimpinan memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan sehingga tidak ada satu gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif untuk semua situasi, gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruang diharapkan meningkatkan kinerja bawahannya. Kinerja merupakan perilaku nyata yang ditampilkan setiap orang sebagai prestasi kerja. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi perawat dan bidan tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruang dan kinerja perawat dan bidan pelaksana Di RSU Bethesda Lempuyangwangi Yogyakarta tahun 2015. Metode : Survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional , menggunakan teknik pengambilan total sampel dengan jumlah 41 orang. Pengumpulan data gaya kepemimpinan menggunakan kuesioner, kinerja dengan lembar observasi, telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisa data secara univariat dan bivariat. Analisis telah dilakukan uji chi square secara program komputer dengan tingkat kemaknaan α=0,05. Hasil : Hasil chi square P (0,783) > alfa (0,05), maka H0 diterima dan Hα ditolak berarti tidak ada hubungan antara persepsi perawat dan bidan tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruang dengan kinerja perawat dan bidan pelaksana di RSU Bethesda Lempuyangwangi Yogyakarta tahun 2015. Kesimpulan : Tidak ada hubungan antara persepsi perawat dan bidan tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala ruang dengan kinerja perawat dan bidan pelaksana di RSU Bethesda Lempuyangwangi Yogyakarta tahun 2015. Saran : Direktur RSUB Lempuyangwangi Pelatihan gaya kepemimpinan, Karu menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan sesuai situasi dan kondisi.Kata Kunci : Gaya Kepemimpinan – kinerja – perawat dan bidan.ABSTRACTBackground: Leadership styles have advantages and disadvantages so that no one leadership style that is effective in all situations, leadership style head space is expected to improve the performance of subordinates. Methods: Survey analytic with cross sectional approach, using the technique of taking the total sample with the number of 41 people. Leadership style data collection using questionnaires, the performance of the observation sheet, has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis of univariate and bivariate data. Research has been conducted chi square test is a computer program with a signiï¬ cance level α = 0.05. Results: The results of chi square P (0.783)> alpha (0.05), then H0 is accepted and rejected Hα means there is no connection between the perception of nurses and midwives about the leadership style of head space with the performance of nurses and midwives executive at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta Lempuyangwangi in 2015. Conclusion: There is no relationship between the perception of nurses and midwives about the leadership style of head space with the performance of nurses and midwives implementing at Lempuyangwangi Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta in 2015. Suggestion: Director of RSUB Lempuyangwangi leadership style training, the head space using a leadership style appropriate to the circumstances.Keywords: Leadership Style - performance - a nurse and midwife
