Analisis tentang Relevansi Ibadah Gereja Pascapandemi Covid-19

Covid-19 pandemic has caused churches to change their worship patterns from those implemented in church buildings to virtual worship at home. This decision relates to the government's call for social distancing and physical distancing in order to break the chain of transmission of the virus which is very easy to move especially through interactions between people in the crowd. In connection with this new worship phenomenon, this research aims to analyze and explore the theological principles of Christian worship, especially with regard to the question of the relevance of worship together in church buildings after the Covid-19 pandemic ends. The method used is descriptive qualitative through research on various literatures to produce a theologically based writing. Based on this study, it is concluded that joint worship in the church building remains relevant because it has an accountable basis. This is certainly important in the education and maturity of the people so that they continue to view worship in the church building is something that is important to carry out even after the phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic passed. AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan gereja-gereja harus mengubah pola ibadahnya dari yang dilaksanakan di gedung gereja kepada pola ibadah virtual di rumah. Hal ini berkaitan dengan imbauan pemerintah untuk melakukan social distancing dan physical distancing demi memutus mata rantai penularan virus tersebut yang sangat mudah berpindah terutama melalui interaksi antar manusia di dalam kerumunan. Berkaitan dengan fenomena ibadah yang baru ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dan menggali prinsip teologis ibadah Kristiani, khususnya berkaitan dengan pertanyaan masih relevankah beribadah bersama di gedung gereja setelah pandemi Covid-19 berakhir. Metode yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif deskriptif melalui penelitian terhadap berbagai literatur sehingga diharapkan menghasilkan tulisan yang bersifat teologis. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disimpulkan ibadah bersama di gereja tetap relevan dilaksanakan karena memiliki landasan yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Hal ini tentunya penting dalam pendidikan dan pendewasaan umat sehingga tetap memandang beribadah di gereja adalah sesuatu hal yang penting dilaksanakan bahkan setelah fenomena pandemi Covid-19 berlalu.
