<![CDATA[Teachers in the learning process have a very important role. The skill of carrying out learning variations is a skill that must be owned by a teacher. In conditions in the field there are still a number of skills that have not emerged or been fulfilled. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's skills in carrying out learning variations and to determine student responses to variations in teacher learning. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The instruments used are in the form of guidelines for observing teacher skills, guidelines for observing student activities and guidelines for interviews with teachers. The results of this study are that as a whole the two classes in mastering the skills of carrying out learning variations get a good category. In addition, the teacher's skills in carrying out learning variations have an effect on student responses which show students are active, enthusiastic, concentrated, and interested in participating in thematic learning in class.]]>
