<![CDATA[The objectives of this study are to find out, (1) the teacher's efforts in overcoming the reading difficulties of grade II students of SD Muhammadiyah V Morotai Island, (2) Factors that cause students not to be able to read. This research is qualitative. The result shows that the teacher's efforts in overcoming reading difficulties in the Muhammadiyah V school in Morotai Island are quite good, such as the work of teachers who teach has carried out their duties professionally based on their respective fields, providing additional lessons to students, in the form of tutoring, giving assignments and always repeating every lesson that has been learned. Meanwhile, the supporting factors to overcome reading difficulties include the teacher always supervising every child who is not fluent in reading to improve learning. Inhibiting factors in overcoming reading difficulties sometimes teachers have taught well but the infrastructure is not supportive, then children's interest is lacking in supporting.]]>
