Abstract

The high employee turnover rate in Surabaya is a serious concern. This study examines the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment among 395 employees in Surabaya. The results showed a significant positive relationship between the two variables. Furthermore, this study found that sense of belongingness plays an important role in strengthening this relationship. The higher the sense of belonging to the organization, the stronger the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. These findings highlight the importance for organizations to create an inclusive work environment and empower employees to feel part of the organization. By doing so, organizations can improve employee performance and achieve long-term strategic goals. Tingkat turnover karyawan yang tinggi di Surabaya menjadi perhatian serius. Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi pada 395 karyawan di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sense of belongingness berperan penting dalam memperkuat hubungan ini. Semakin tinggi rasa memiliki terhadap organisasi, semakin kuat pula hubungan kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya bagi organisasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang inklusif dan memberdayakan karyawan agar mereka merasa menjadi bagian dari organisasi. Dengan demikian, organisasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dan mencapai tujuan strategis jangka panjang.
