<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the insufficient oral English proficiency of educators and educational staff at SMP Kr. MDC Surabaya which is attributed to embarrassment and fear of making mistakes, the perception that English is difficult, and the previous English training ineffectiveness. This research aims to show that the use of eclectic methods and mentoring can enhance the oral English proficiency of educators and educational staff at that school. The eclectic method used in this research combined the behaviorist, cognitive, and constructivist theories. Additionally, to support these three theories, the researcher employed Communicative Language Teaching and Cooperative Language Learning. The researcher also incorporated mentoring to enhance the motivation and confidence of the subjects. This research utilized the School Action Research (SAR) method following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted over two cycles. The analysis results comparing the research subjects’ scores on the Initial Data Assessment Rubric, End of Cycle 1 and 2 Results demonstrate an improvement in the scores of the research subjects in which the score for Subject DE increased from 40 to 60, Subject NS increased from 40 to 63, Subject FK increased from 70 to 83, and Subject YF increased from 53 to 73. This indicates that the eclectic method and mentoring were effective in enhancing the scores of all four research subjects.]]>
