Abstract

UMKM plays an important role in the Indonesian economy as it contributes significantly, in the formation of gross domestic product and labour absorption. In Pontianak City there is a tourist village of Kampong Melayu BML located in the Pontiak South Prefecture, Pontian City, West Kalimantan. Right next to the Kapuas River, Kampong Melayu BML not only offers a beautiful panorama of nature, but also a history of many cultures with different tribal backgrounds (Kemenparekraf, 2022). Kampong Melayu Tourism Village BML has become one of the important bases in developing small and medium-sized enterprises that have the potential to generate quality economic growth. The purpose of this PKM activity is to have an understanding of the basic concepts and the importance of financial literacy in business as well as an understanding about the planning and management of financial good and correct. With the existence of training in financial literature for UMKM participants in the Village Tourism of Malay Village Pontianak, it is expected to create a stronger and more sustainable business environment. From the knowledge and skills acquired, they will become more independent entrepreneurs and able to face challenges in the world of tourism business.
