<![CDATA[This research aimed to enhance the speaking ability of fifth-grade students at SDN 10 Batuda’a, Gorontalo Regency, through the utilization of flipbook media. The main problem investigated was how the use of flipbook media could significantly improve students' speaking skills. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four essential stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, with each cycle comprising two meetings. The research results indicated a significant improvement in students' speaking ability following the intervention. In the first meeting of Cycle I, out of 15 students, only 4 students (27%) achieved scores above the determined performance indicator, while 11 students (73%) had not yet reached it. In the second meeting of Cycle I, there was an increase, with 8 students (53%) achieving the indicator, and 7 students (47%) still not reaching it. Given these results, the research proceeded to Cycle II. In the first meeting of Cycle II, 10 students (67%) successfully scored above the performance indicator, while 5 students (33%) had not yet reached it. Further improvement was observed in the second meeting of Cycle II, where 13 students (87%) had achieved the established performance indicator, and only 2 students (13%) had not. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the use of flipbook media effectively enhanced the speaking ability of fifth-grade students at SDN 10 Batuda’a, Gorontalo Regency. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 10 Batuda’a Kabupaten Gorontalo melalui pemanfaatan media flipbook. Masalah utama yang diinvestigasi adalah bagaimana penggunaan media flipbook dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan esensial: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, dengan masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah intervensi. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama, dari total 15 siswa, hanya 4 siswa (27%) yang mencapai nilai di atas indikator kinerja yang ditentukan, sementara 11 siswa (73%) belum mencapainya. Pada pertemuan kedua siklus I, terjadi peningkatan dengan 8 siswa (53%) yang mencapai indikator, dan 7 siswa (47%) belum mencapainya. Mengingat hasil tersebut, penelitian dilanjutkan ke siklus II. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama, 10 siswa (67%) berhasil mencapai nilai di atas indikator kinerja, sedangkan 5 siswa (33%) belum mencapai indikator. Peningkatan lebih lanjut terlihat pada siklus II pertemuan kedua, di mana 13 siswa (87%) telah mencapai indikator kinerja yang ditetapkan, dan hanya 2 siswa (13%) yang belum mencapainya. Berdasarkan data ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media flipbook secara efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 10 Batuda’a Kabupaten Gorontalo.]]>
