Abstract

Abstract When palnning a project in sandy area, there is a problem that will be faced, namely liquefaction. Liquefaction is a geotechnical phenomenon that occurs when fine-grained soil such as water-saturated sand loses its strength and stiffness due to dynamic loading, so that the behavior of the previously solid soil becomes liquid, for example during an earthquake. Pile foundations are often used as a mitigation method to reduce the risk of liquefaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of pile foundations in reducimg the risk of liquwfaction. The research method used is literatur analysis by evaluating the result of previous studies. Keywords: liquefaction; pile foundations Abstrak Pada saat merencanakan suatu proyek pada daerah yang berpasir , terdapat suatu problematika yang akan dihadapi, yaitu likuifaksi. Likuifaksi merupakan fenomena geoteknik yang terjadi ketika tanah berbutir halus seperti pasir jenuh air kehilangan kekuatan dan kekakuannya akibat pembebanan dinamis sehingga perilaku tanah yang semula padat menjadi cair, misalnya gempa bumi. Pondasi tiang pancang seringkali digunakan sebagai metode mitigasi untuk mengurangi resiko likuifaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk manganalisis pengaruh pondasi tiang pancang dalam mengurangi resiko likuifaksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah analisis literatur dengan mengevaluasi hasil penelitian terdahulu.. Kata kunci: Likuifaksi; pondasi tiang pancang.
