Student character development is a crucial part of the primary education process, particularly in facing the challenges of the globalization era, which demands a strong character in the younger generation. This study aims to examine the role of teachers in developing student character through a coaching approach at SDN Kalideres 09 Pagi Jakarta. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of teachers and fifth-grade students. The results indicate that the coaching approach has a positive impact on student character development, such as increased responsibility, discipline, empathy, and honesty. Teachers act as facilitators, mentors, and guides, helping students recognize their potential and set character goals. This study recommends the systematic implementation of a coaching approach in the learning process as a strategic effort to develop strong and sustainable student character.
