<![CDATA[Abstrak Tato Dayak memiliki beragam motif dimana setiap motif yang dimiliki mempunyai makna tersendiri dalam pengunaanya sesuai dengan aturan adat masayarakat Dayak. Berdasarkan analisa dan beberapa pertimbangan yang telah dilakukan menganggap tato Suku Dayak memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai sumber ide dalam menciptakan desain huruf motif tato Dayak Kalimantan. Tujuan penelitian dan penciptaan karya ini adalah upaya pembangunan branding budaya Tato dengan penerapan media huruf sehingga budaya dapat dilestarikan dan dapat difungsikan dalam masyarakat. Metode penciptaan karya ini menggunakan metode eksplorasi, improvisasi dan eksperimentasi, serta pembentukan (forming). Dalam mendeskripsikan ide, konsep karya dan gagasan menciptakan huruf motif corak tato Dayak melalui pendekatan estetik tanpa menghilangkan makna setiap motif. Ruang lingkup pengembangan gagasan serta penerapan karya dilakukan secara bertahap. Hasil dari penelian dan penciptaan karya ini adalah berupa Huruf motif tato Dayak dan Tipografi yang mengintegrasikan unsur-unsur budaya Dayak dan proses kreatif berfungsi sebagai alat pendidikan yang efektif. Aplikasi huruf dan tipografi tersebut Melalui buku, poster, atau materi informasi lainnya yang menggunakan jenis huruf bergaya Dayak. Abstract Dayak tattoos have various motifs, each with its own meaning in their use according to the customs of the Dayak community. Based on the analysis and several considerations that have been made, it is believed that Dayak tattoos have the potential to be used as a source of ideas in creating letter designs for Dayak Kalimantan tattoo motifs. The purpose of this research and creation of this work is an effort to build tattoo culture branding thru the application of letter media so that the culture can be preserved and function within society. The method of creating this work uses exploration, improvisation, and experimentation methods, as well as forming. In describing the idea, concept of the work, and the idea of creating letters with Dayak tattoo motifs thru an esthetic approach without losing the meaning of each motif. The scope of idea development and the application of the work are carried out in stages. The result of this research and creation is in the form of Dayak tattoo motif letters and typography that integrate elements of Dayak culture and the creative process, serving as an effective educational tool. The application of these letters and typography is thru books, posters, or other informational materials that use Dayak-style fonts.]]>
