<![CDATA[Exclusive breastfeeding plays a vital role in supporting infant growth and stability. Infants who receive exclusive breastfeeding are 1.62 times more likely to grow normally compared to those who do not. In addition, exclusive breastfeeding supports the baby’s development in accordance with their age. Providing exclusive breastfeeding for up to six months contributes to achieving a child's optimal intellectual potential. According to data from the Basic Health Research (Riset Kesehatan Dasar), only 30.2% of infants in Indonesia receive exclusive breastfeeding until the age of six months. At Puri Asih Hospital in Salatiga, many breastfeeding mothers still lack knowledge about proper breastfeeding techniques, leading to delays in initiating breastfeeding for newborns and causing mothers to doubt themselves, often believing that their baby refuses to nurse. The instrument used in this study consisted of pre-test and post-test observation sheets. The method applied was a community service activity focusing on correct breastfeeding techniques using the "AMUBIDA" method. This community service activity was carried out through direct counseling sessions for breastfeeding mothers at Puri Asih Hospital in Salatiga. A total of 25 breastfeeding mothers participated in the activity, which was conducted from February 11 to February 25, 2025. All participants enthusiastically practiced correct breastfeeding techniques using the "AMUBIDA" method. Observations showed that during practice, there were no smacking sounds while the baby nursed, and the mothers did not experience nipple soreness, which aligned with the content of the educational material delivered. From these findings, it can be concluded that counseling accompanied by hands-on training is highly effective in improving the knowledge and skills of breastfeeding mothers. This type of health education intervention is essential to implement more widely, especially in healthcare facilities that have not adopted rooming-in systems or that still face challenges related to formula milk promotion. The success of exclusive breastfeeding requires adequate knowledge, proper skills, and stable maternal psychological conditions. Therefore, training in correct breastfeeding techniques should be an integral part of postpartum care services to increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding and ensure optimal infant growth and development. Abstrak Pemberian ASI Eksklusif memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan kestabilan bayi. Bayi yang memperoleh ASI Eksklusif memiliki peluang 1,62 kali lebih besar untuk tumbuh secara normal dibandingkan dengan bayi yang tidak mendapat ASI Eksklusif. Selain itu, ASI Eksklusif juga turut mendukung perkembangan bayi sesuai usianya. Pemberian ASI secara eksklusif hingga usia 6 bulan berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian potensi kecerdasan anak secara optimal. Berdasarkan data Riset Kesehatan Dasar, hanya 30,2% bayi di Indonesia yang menerima ASI Eksklusif hingga usia 6 bulan. Di RS Puri Asih Salatiga, masih banyak ibu menyusui yang belum memahami teknik menyusui yang tepat, sehingga pemberian ASI pada bayi baru lahir (BBL) menjadi tertunda dan membuat ibu merasa ragu karena mengira bayinya tidak mau menyusu. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi pre dan post test. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu pengabdian masyarakat terkait teknik menyusui yang benar dengan menggunakan metode “AMUBIDA”. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui penyuluhan langsung kepada para ibu menyusui di RS Puri Asih Salatiga. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 25 ibu menyusui di RS Puri Asih Salatiga yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11-25 Februari 2025, seluruh peserta dengan antusias mempraktikkan teknik menyusui yang benar menggunakan metode "AMUBIDA" dan dilihat dari cara mempraktikannya tidak terdengar suara seperti mengecap saat bayi menyusu serta pasien tidak mengalami puting lecet hal ini sesuai dengan materi yang telah disampaikan. Dari temuan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan yang disertai pelatihan langsung sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan ibu menyusui. Intervensi berbasis edukasi kesehatan ini penting untuk diterapkan secara luas, terutama di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan yang belum memberlakukan rawat gabung atau yang masih menghadapi kendala promosi susu formula. Keberhasilan menyusui secara eksklusif memerlukan dukungan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta kondisi psikologis ibu yang stabil. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan teknik menyusui yang benar perlu menjadi bagian integral dari layanan pasca-persalinan guna meningkatkan cakupan ASI Eksklusif dan memastikan tumbuh kembang bayi secara optimal.]]>
