ABSTRACT The jamasan ceremony is a Javanese cultural practice that persists. In practice, the jamasan ceremony is associated with the use of materials sourced from the surrounding environment. However, scientific studies specifically addressing the use of natural materials in the jamasan ceremony remain very limited, particularly those examining the types of materials, their contents, and application procedures. This study aims to explore the use of natural materials in the jamasan of the Kyai Manggolo Murti and Songsong Makutha Dewa at Puncak Suroloyo, Kulon Progo. The study employed a qualitative case study approach. The research stages include a preliminary survey (pre-survey), data collection, data analysis, and report preparation. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with caregivers and community members involved in the ritual, and documentation of the jamasan ceremony. The research was conducted at the jamasan location, namely Padukuhan Keceme, Garbosari, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, DIY, on June 26–27, 2025. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the study showed that the natural materials used in the jamasan of heirlooms include kawul bamboo rope (Gigantochloa apus), lime (Citrus aurantiifolia), noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia L.), green coconut water (Cocos nucifera var. viridis), and Sendang Kawidodaren water sprinkled with kantil, jasmine, rose, and cananga flowers. Each material has a specific function determined by its natural chemical composition. The application is carried out in accordance with the condition of the heirloom. The conclusion of this study is that the use of natural materials in jamasan at Puncak Suroloyo constitutes part of a spiritual ritual and represents traditional conservation practices. ABSTRAK Upacara jamasan pusaka merupakan salah satu praktik budaya Jawa yang masih bertahan hingga saat ini. Secara praktis, jamasan pusaka identik dengan penggunaan bahan-bahan yang berasal dari lingkungan sekitar. Namun, kajian ilmiah yang secara khusus membahas penggunaan bahan alami dalam upacara jamasan pusaka masih sangat terbatas. Terutama pengkajian tentang jenis bahan, kandungan, dan tata cara pengaplikasiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan bahan alami dalam upacara jamasan pusaka Tombak Kyai Manggolo Murti dan Songsong Makutha Dewa di Puncak Suroloyo, Kulon Progo. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Tahapan penelitian meliputi studi pendahuluan (pra-survei), pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penyusunan laporan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara dengan juru kunci dan masyarakat yang terlibat dalam ritual, serta dokumentasi pelaksanaan upacara jamasan. Penelitian dilakukan di lokasi jamasan yaitu Padukuhan Keceme, Garbosari, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, DIY pada 26–27 Juni 2025. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-kualitatif melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan alami yang digunakan dalam jamasan pusaka meliputi kawul bambu tali (Gigantochloa apus), jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantiifolia), buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.), air kelapa hijau (Cocos nucifera var. viridis), serta air Sendang Kawidodaren yang ditaburi bunga kantil, melati, mawar, dan kenanga. Setiap bahan memiliki fungsi spesifik berdasarkan kandungan kimia alaminya. Pengaplikasiannya dilakukan sesuai kondisi bilah pusaka. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan bahan alami dalam jamasan pusaka di Puncak Suroloyo berfungsi sebagai bagian dari ritual spiritual dan representasi praktik konservasi tradisional.
