Vitamin E is one of type vitamin that is ideal to increase the reproductive function. Vitamin E has the ability to maintain fertility which related to the production of testosterone hormone. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of vitamin E in various dosages to testosterone levels contained in the blood serum samples of local cocks (Gallus domestica). Samples of local cocks which given supplementation with vitamin E dosages of 0 mg (P0), 10 mg (P1), 20 mg (P2) dan 30 mg (P3). The collected data were analyzed statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a 95%, followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The examination of testosterone levels in this research used Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) test. The result showed that testosterone significantly different among P0, P1, P2 dan P3. Highest testosterone levels obtained from P3 (12,32±1,52 ng/ml), followed by P2 (7,85±1,21 ng/ml), , P1 (5,04±0,7 ng/ml) and P0 (3,63±0,49 ng/ml), respectively. This result suggests that higher doses of vitamin E supplements in feed can elevate testosterone levels in local cocks (Gallus domestica). The P3 treatment, with a dosage of 30 mg of vitamin E, is the most effective in boosting testosterone levels in local cocks.
