Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the essential skills in 21st-century education that needs to be developed through appropriate strategies and instructional media. This study aims to improve students' creativity in Civic Education (PPKn) learning at MI Ma’arif 2 Jatisari through the use of Powtoon media. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Data were collected through tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique followed the model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant improvement in students' creative thinking abilities, with an increase of 65% in the first cycle and 90% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that Powtoon is an effective medium for enhancing students’ creativity in Civic Education learning. Therefore, the integration of technology-based media such as Powtoon is highly recommended as an innovative approach to improve the quality of learning and foster essential student competencies.Keterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu kompetensi esensial dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang perlu ditumbuhkembangkan melalui pendekatan dan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) di MI Ma’arif 2 Jatisari dengan memanfaatkan media Powtoon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus; masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana, yang mencakup tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, yaitu sebesar 65% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 90% pada siklus II. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa media Powtoon efektif dalam mendorong kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media berbasis teknologi seperti Powtoon layak diterapkan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pengembangan kompetensi siswa secara optimal.
