Perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut mahasiswa memiliki kompetensi dasar dalam pengolahan dan penyajian data statistik. Namun, kemampuan awal mahasiswa baru Program Studi Informatika Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA) dalam bidang tersebut masih relatif rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa melalui pelatihan pengolahan dan penyajian data statistik berbasis aplikasi spreadsheet. Kebaruan kegiatan ini terletak pada pemanfaatan spreadsheet sebagai media pembelajaran untuk memperkuat kompetensi dasar pengolahan data bagi mahasiswa baru. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 48 peserta melalui metode ceramah, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pretest, posttest, tugas praktik, dan kuesioner kepuasan, sedangkan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata peserta meningkat dari 56,2 pada pretest menjadi 85,7 pada posttest atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 29,5 poin. Selain itu, 62,5% peserta menyatakan sangat puas, 31,3% puas, dan 6,2% cukup puas terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis spreadsheet efektif meningkatkan kompetensi peserta dalam pengolahan dan penyajian data statistik serta memperoleh respons positif. Meskipun demikian, evaluasi masih terbatas pada hasil belajar jangka pendek sehingga diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengkaji keberlanjutan kompetensi peserta. The increasing demand for data-driven decision-making requires university students to possess fundamental competencies in statistical data processing and presentation. However, the initial competency of first-year students in the Informatics Study Program at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA) remained relatively low. This community service program aims to improve students’ statistical data processing and presentation skills through spreadsheet-based training. The novelty of this program lies in introducing spreadsheet applications as an accessible learning tool to strengthen fundamental data processing competencies among first-year students. The training involved 48 participants and employed lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring sessions. Participants' competencies were evaluated using pre-tests, post-tests, practical assignments, and satisfaction questionnaires, while the data were analyzed descriptively. The average score increased from 56.2 in the pre-test to 85.7 in the post-test, indicating an improvement of 29.5 points. In addition, 62.5% of participants were very satisfied, 31.3% were satisfied, and 6.2% were moderately satisfied with the training. These findings demonstrate that spreadsheet-based training effectively enhanced participants’ competencies and received positive responses. However, the evaluation was limited to short-term learning outcomes, suggesting the need for further studies to examine the long-term sustainability of the acquired competencies.
