This article investigates the impact of a storytelling class on enhancing learners' confidence at Rumah Baca Tante Djie Surabaya. Addressing the common challenge of public speaking anxiety among young learners, the program implemented interactive storytelling sessions as a tool for creative self-expression. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study observed learners as they practiced narrative techniques, vocal modulation, and stage presence. The findings reveal that the storytelling class significantly bolstered participants' self-assurance, enabling them to communicate more effectively and comfortably in front of an audience. By providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment, Rumah Baca Tante Djie facilitates personal growth beyond traditional literacy. This research highlights the effectiveness of storytelling in informal education and suggests that community-based initiatives play a crucial role in developing essential soft skills. In conclusion, storytelling class empowers learners to find their voices and build the confidence necessary for future academic and social success.
